What do birds do?

They flock together. So what do the Syrian Baathist dictator Bashar Assad, Iranian Islamofacsist President Mahmoud “Israel’s Days Are Numbered” Ahmadinejad and Iowa Senator Tom Harkin have in common?

They all oppose U.S. victory in Iraq. Kind of makes you wonder whose side Harkin is on doesn’t it.

Tom Harkin is also in support of harvesting embryos for research.

Here's what happens to the leftover embryos that are not needed by the couples who successfully implant one of the many fertilized embryos they created and have no use for the extra ones. Think of this when they start talking about embryonic stem cell research. Tom Harkin thinks this would be perfectly acceptable.

FDA Probes Texas Embryo Business

Federal officials are investigating a business that produces batches of ready-made embryos and lets prospective parents select one based on the donors' looks, ethnicity, education and other factors.

A consumer safety officer from the Food and Drug Administration was at Jennalee Ryan's house Friday during an Associated Press interview with the woman who runs the Abraham Center of Life.

An FDA spokeswoman in Dallas confirmed that the agency is investigating but would not elaborate.

Ryan's service involves a New York physician who uses embryos that can be bought for $5,000 a pair. Ryan said she allows customers to choose embryos after reviewing the donors' characteristics, including their ethnic and educational background and, in some cases, their photos.

So A Ted .....
Which way did you vote today?

It should have been you or Dix.

All infavor of a line change Vote yes.

shame on Ted for voting for Ray. its not like you Ted

I'm pretty sure Ted didn't vote for Ray. Ray needed 9 votes. Here's how I count it up: 1st, 3rd, 5th - Ray. 9 votes locked it up for Ray. 3rd and 4th voted for change. Change lost to status quo. Gear up your central committees. Get involved.

That was a typo. 2nd voted for Ray, not 3rd. There is a perception amongst 1st and 2nd voters that dix didn't support whalen. 3rd and 4th voted for change. 5th voted for Ray likely due to favorite son status.

Sporer, man up, and post something on the completely aweful SCC voting...

as the rest of us see it, leadership must not require much anymore, if you all are going to vote for Ray. and Ted, if you didnt vote for Ray, and didnt mount the fierce opposition, then you still blew it.

I hear Ted did what he could.

You can only do so much when you're working with a bunch of simpletons.

Check out the pre-election chat over at krusty. It's interesting to read in light of what ended up happening.

Ray sounds likes more of the same (and the same is not good) if only Ted were in charge I could believe we actually have a chance to get something done in this state.

I bet Ray gets those donation checks rolling in from those with blinders. I will keep my money out of RPI hands.
