I often ask why our national leadership does not more aggressively wage the rhetorical war. Relatively “minor” headlines like this in a relatively non-partisan publication feed my wonder.
What happened to the “jobless recovery”? Oh, record high employment for a prolonged period of time. The corporate scandals? W prosecuted ‘em. The sagging stock market? Record Dow and equity values. Incomes growing, revenue growing, profits growing. The proverbial chicken in every pot.
Finally, the Democrats actually project the disingenuous argument that Bush is a budget buster. Well, the Bush economy is so strong that the deficit is rapidly disappearing. Maybe if we let the President implement Social Security and Medicare reform he’d solve those problems as well?
Virtually every facet of the American economy is booming. Not just booming in ordinary times, either. Never, ever let the liberal propaganda machine forget that George W. Bush inherited a recession, a rapidly growing energy crises and the corporate scandals, got hit with 9.11 and WW3, topped off with the worst natural disasters in American history.
All of the accomplishments have been done in the face a campaign of personal hate and obstruction that knows no limits, certainly not those of decency or accuracy. The current economic numbers are a remarkable affirmation of the success of the Bush/Republican economic policy and we should never miss a chance to counter the gloom of the liberal template.
So why aren’t we on the talk shows talking about it?

Here's more proof that democrats have no clue about the threat facing america. They still think we are fighting the cold war. See the partial list of iowa democrats who wish to defund the military for more nanny state goodies.
"Dozens of other elected officials, including Senate Majority Leader Mike Gronstal, House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, U.S. Senator Tom Harkin, U.S. Representatives Bruce Braley and Dave Loebsack, and Des Moines Mayor Frank Cownie, have also endorsed the campaign. For a complete list of the campaign’s elected official endorsements, go to sensibleiowans.org/supporters.php.
Iowans for Sensible Priorities is a non-profit, non-partisan organization based in Des Moines. The group’s mission is to change the federal budget to reflect a national commitment to education, healthcare, energy independence, job training and deficit reduction -- all at no additional taxpayer expense -- by shifting spending from obsolete Cold War and nuclear weapons. To learn more about the campaign, go to sensibleiowans.org."
Non partisan? Show me a republican that supports this nonsense.
Victory? Democrats define victory as defeat of our military.
We've been learning about the democrat union thuggery at work to strip freedom away from workers and will use any thug tactic to make you join.
Democrats are dangerous to the personal safety of americans. More evidence that democrats are by and large self haters.
They love their party more than they love america.
The only place where democrats believe in "choice" is when they want to kill your babies or buy your embryos to do weird science experiments. After that, no choice anywhere. Choice would take the power away from the state to control your behavior for your own good, of course.
Job Training? Didn't they try that with CIETC?
Don't give these jerks any more money.
bush didn't inherit a recession. Stop saying that.
