Teheran Rosie, please allow.............

............me to ask every Republican to boycott ABC programing until you are FIRED!

Teheran Rosie is an example of why we lose the global propoganda war, because our weird liberal culture is so filled with this wretchedly ignorant self loathing that our national enemies and adversaries can always fill their air waves with the fool hardy American feeding them propoganda, and our own national will is weakened from within.

For example, the Iranians are now citing Abu Ghraib as the justification of their current hostage taking. The American left gave the Islamofascist propagandists credibility by the obsessive focus on the aberrant behavior of a few prison guards, whose "torture" hardly is a speck of evil comparied with the mass murder our enemies committ through the random killings of suicide bombers, much less the gruesome torture and murder that were committed as national policy in Saddam's Iraq. While seeing that butt ugly Lindsey England having sex would be repulsive having your head sawed from your living, conscious body would absolutely ruin the day, so which would you prefer?

The 1st Amendment even protects the most loathsome and uninformed of speech. Unlike WW2, the Rosie O'Donnells of the world cannot, and should not, be imprisoned. However, the power of the internet gives those who are mortally offended by the hateful and loathsome speech a microphone, however small, to express our opinion. So, let's swear off ABC and Disney entertainment-and there will still be plenty of audio-video entertainment available without them-until they understand the damage that that unpatriotic villiany that Teheran Rosie is doing to the world..

Sporer,

I hate to break it to you, but it was not Rosie and other liberals who lost the propaganda war for us. We had 99% of the world with us after 9/11 and even Afghanistan. It was the illogical Iraq adventure that gave our enemies the propaganda victory.

With respect to the slottery machines in every grocery store. This is a reader comment in the Register..just a regular ole folk. Might be a motivated republican voter next time.

...Taxpayer is the big loser. We get to pay the businesses w/our tax dollars that we didn't pay to the lottery to cover thier losses.

So let me get my calculator out.........ok, we've got cigarette tax increases,

we've got local opotion sales tax increases almost statewide,

we've got minimum wage increases that effect the bottom line of everything from the price of a hamburger in a restaurant to a pack of shoelaces,

and now we'll have to cough up the legal bill for this whole debacle........so that's...........a lot of taxes we've had to dig into our pockets to cover.

Thanks Democrats for all you've done to us this year....I'm sure we'll be compensated w/quality of life increases in Iowa with all this tax revenue we're paying......

(hint: don't hold your breath for quality of life to increase in a state that taxes are rising as well)

rf

we aren't fighting a propoganda war. that's the point. republicans see it as we are fighting a war with islamofascists and for the freedom of western civilization. democrats think it is a propoganda war.

that's the difference between r's and d's.

You are correct though. Our mainstream media is very good at losing the propoganda war. I guess that's their testimony to their achievements in convincing americans that we are too weak to win, so give up and come home.

How sad to see the glee with which they engage in their endeavor.

Polk County Democrats Resolve to Support Sen. Matt McCoy

The Polk County Democratic Central Committee passed a resolution in support of Democratic State Senator Matt McCoy, who is facing a single charge by the Justice Department, at their Quarterly meeting on March 21, 2007.

“Senator McCoy has served the state of Iowa in an impeccable manner.” Polk County Democratic Chair Tom Henderson stated. “Matt has always been willing to assist those in need, whether it is assisting his constituents with their problems or providing for needed health care programs for our less fortunate.”

McCoy recently floor managed a $1 cigarette tax increase through the Iowa Senate arguing that the measure would push thousands to quit smoking while providing much needed dollars for health care programs.

The following resolution was presented to the body and passed:

Resolution Supporting Senator Matt McCoy
Whereas for 15 years Senator McCoy has effectively served his constituents and the people of Iowa, and

Whereas Senator McCoy has had an exemplary record of high ethical standards and unquestioned integrity,

Whereas Democratic State Senator Matt McCoy is currently under indictment brought on by a highly partisan Justice Department under questionable circumstances and using questionable methods of collecting evidence,

We therefore resolve to give Senator McCoy our support and confidence in the months ahead.

This is the part that really cracks me up.

Whereas Senator McCoy has had an exemplary record of high ethical standards and unquestioned integrity.

Anon,

I'm afraid that even if we achieved the elusive R "victory" in Iraq, it won't help us a bit in the fight against Islamofascism. The war is only making the cause of freedom and Western civilization worse.

In my view, the difference between R's and D's on the Iraq War is this: R's put their party and partisanship above reality and national interest. D's are dealing with reality.

That official Polk Co. D support of McCoy is pathetic, though. Why can't they shut up and let the issue be resolved in court?

Also, like it or not, you cannot separate the propaganda war from this war against Islamofascism. It is an integral part of the fight.

rf, those are just tag lines, not an argument.

how would you assess the risk to this country if either Iranian style or Syrian style Nazis (because these people are really Nazis)or even worse, Taliban style rejectionists who most closely resemble sacred version of Pol Pots agragrian revolution in Cambodia (you know, the Killing Fields, a direct result of American flight from Vietnam-thank you baby boomers) were in control of Iraq's strategic position and vast oil wealth.

look what they can do from backwater global slums like afganistan and somalia?

have you ever wondered why so many lunatic jihadists are willing to die in iraq, as opposed to the other hot zones like Somalia, Palestine, Afganistan and Indonesia, if victory there isn't absolutely vital to them, which makes it vital to us.

that is the essential nature of war. have we not always followed the most sound war making methodologies, but we still have to figure out how to win. massive sustained force is the usual road to victory-unless one pursues the liberal approach of ignoring historical antecedants.

i strongly urge you to spend the summer reading churchill's six volume history of ww2 and thinking about what has been going on in the middle east since 1979.

Rosie needs to visit the Islamic world and discover how they regard her thoughts. I assume a few days in the Islamic world might change her views. She should get the "Real" experience and not the star treatment to see what it is really like.

I am speechless as to her allegations and I am at the point I may never come home to American thanks to liberals like her spewing her thoughtless blather.

Ah, but football keeps me coming home and to visit my children but what else does a liberal America have to offer????

Rosie should tuck her tail and get the heck off of any respectable program. She is a waste of time and loves to her herself talk. Nobody cares, get a grip.

Sporer,

My tag lines were in direct response to anon’s tag lines. I suggest Sporer spends this spring and summer taking off his party rep/talking point hat and apply reason, reality and logic to this war and the world. And, I’m quite comfortable with my knowledge of history, thank you.

So, your first point about who’s in control of strategic Iraq. If you take this realpolitik approach, go back to my earlier point about the stupidity of taking out the major counterbalance to Iran in the area. From this perspective, Saddam was doing us a favor, and as we all knew even in 2003, he posed no direct threat to us. Certainly a much better scenario than all the scary pictures you are painting. Great strategic move!

“Have you ever wondered why so many lunatic jihadists are willing to die in iraq.” – Yes I have. That’s a big reason why I feel about the war the way I do. You can read all my previous comments about the stupidity of the war. That’s why those people are willing to go there to attack Americans. - Have you thought about this? Again, step into the real world from your party rep world.

“But we still have to figure out how to win.” – At this point of time, what will we exactly gain in our WOT by a “victory” in Iraq? How much time and resources are we going to use on this one theater of WOT (your words)? We don’t have any gas – cash or political - left for any other theaters. You must realize that. Also, are you still using the same definition of victory that you stated earlier on this blog? If so, all recent reports indicate it is the D’s threat to pull out of Iraq that is making any real difference in pushing Iraqis to actually solve their issues.
