………………. on the taxpayers by the CIETC scammers came today in the form of a $93K bill for legal fees. Payment, of course, comes right out of the pockets of the Polk County taxpayers. As tax scams go, this latest slap in the face pales in comparison to Boss Hogg Mauro’s $4.26 million taxpayer financed apartment complex and other recent big hits.
CIETC’s total legal fees are $327,953.00, pretty much all of which will be paid by we, the taxpayers since CIETC is a public entity. This means that we, the taxpayers paid for CIETC to scam our money and then paid their lawyers to mount what appears to have been a pretty meritless defense of that scam?

Jonathan Wilson (last seen at Barak Obama's events when not fleecing the public) is still upset about his resounding 1995 defeat as an openly gay school board member. Johnny boy found a new way to get back at DSM by charging $1000 a day without submitting any documentation as to what he was doing for that money. Furthermore, like the ACLU, he discovered a loophole where the deep pocketed governmental entity can be held responsible for his bill for defending obviously guilty/corrupt people who stole government money.
His fleecing has cost the city so much money (with no end in sight) that the city is willing to drop the whole matter as his bill is rapidly becoming too expensive to justify further pursuit of other lost money. It is almost like, ahem, Johnny boy is putting on an O.J. scale defense for individuals under the pretense he is defending an organization! At least O.J. had lawyers we could see doing work but Johnny could be sitting in the sauna and still submitting bills since documentation is not required right?
Anytime lawyers discover a way to automatically bill a client, or better yet the opposing side, they seem to run up fantastic legal bills. Johnny is doing exactly that which is why loopholes allowing the billing of the other party should not be legal. The ACLU has used this technique to pay most of their bloated budget as they strong arm cities to remove all references to God or risk lawsuits. Those lawsuits often result in the ACLU recovering millions for their "expenses." No reasonable person would fall for such nonsense but we pay for it everyday thanks to these legal loopholes and highway robbers like Jonathan Wilson.

On a related note, since when is it a good idea to mandate the losing party pay the prevailing party in a court action. I don't mean making it optional, I mean making it mandatory as is the case of Chet Culver's signing of HF199 (HJ1018) which mandates the losing side (95% of the time fathers) to pay the prevailing side (95% mothers) for all actions involving custody and visitation!
This law takes effect on 1 JUL 07 and it is obvious the attorneys will run up huge bills with the winning attorney hitting the lottery. The obvious outcome (it will not be Equal by any stretch of the imagination) will be for fathers to be further marginalized and willing to settle under any terms possible since trial lossed would be catastrophic.
Nationally recognized speakers will be a the Civic Center noon till 3pm on Saturday to talk about this issue.
Jonathan Wilson is invited to assure everyone that attorneys would never run up a bill for the sake of running a bill.
That would be illegal rifht? Well, I assume Jonathan Wilson has heard of Mike Nifong's ethics so we look forward to seeing him attend.

Jonathan Wilson should show up for the sake of the publicity since FOX News will be at this event. His views concerning unlimited billing certainly matter to us considering HF199 mandates in custody cases the abuse he has recently heaped upon unsuspecting taxpayers.
Jonathan, can we see you Saturday, noon to three at the Civic Center to debate Doctor Stephan Baskerville, President, of the Washington DC's American Coalition of Fathers and Children or Pastor Ron Smith of Michigan's Children Need Both Parents. Johnny boy may be a good lawyer and unrepentent thief but I doubt he will do well against these gentlemen! Nonetheless, he is invited and we'll hand him the microphone if feels like presenting the case for unrestricted attorney billing practices.
US President Tim Kalemkarian, US Senate Tim Kalemkarian, US House Tim Kalemkarian: best major candidate.
Who the heck is Tim Kalemkarian???

We almost have to put TaxAnn (Roxanne) Conlin in the same boat. Did you see that she wants $75 milllion in attorney fees for protecting us from the big bad Microsoft?
Here's what she did for me that will earn her $75 million.
Class members are entitled to receive $16 for each copy of Windows or MS-DOS they purchased;
$25 for each copy of Microsoft Excel;
$29 for each copy of Microsoft Office;
$10 for each copy of Microsoft Word, Works and Home Essential software.
Great job Roxie! Seriously, $16 will help me so much but what about the 30 million she will make?
My points about runaway lawyers still stand.
Since she claims to represent me in this lawsuit she can honor my request to buzz off.

Another valid reason why Dems should pay attention to all the warnings about mixing their meds.
Wingnut Rekha Basu pointed out we wasted half a million on abstinence education that should have been spent elsewhere. I want to point out we've wasted almost as much on CIETC's legal defense for their theft of state dollars paying personal bonuses to a few "Democratic Party connected individuals." Basu only gets upset whenever money is not spent on welfare and giveaways.

"Iowa matches its abstinence-only grants at the rate of $3 to every $4 allotted by the feds. For this fiscal year, that amounts to nearly $557,000."
