……….. to respond to the three arguments Lt. Hegseth advances in support of the winning the Iraq campaign.
Name-calling, accusations of lying or mere reiteration of casualty statistics do not quality as a response so I realize you are being limited in your ability to respond.
So, libs, why is the Lieutenant wrong?

Lt. Hegseth is merely criticizing Levin without providing any real solutions of his own. Not really worthy of discussion. Basically what he is saying is “stay the course” and “mistakes were made.” Haven’t we heard that before? What new is there?
From AP:
Sen. Richard Lugar, a senior Republican and a reliable vote for President Bush on the war, said Monday that Bush's Iraq strategy was not working and that the United States should downsize the military's role.
"In my judgment, the costs and risks of continuing down the current path outweigh the potential benefits that might be achieved," Lugar, R-Ind., said in a Senate floor speech. "Persisting indefinitely with the surge strategy will delay policy adjustments that have a better chance of protecting our vital interests over the long term."
