We at The Real Sporer believe that the crises of our generation is the preservation of a United States of America based on fundamental rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Oddly enough, our generation, that grew in the quiet and secure 50s, 60s and 70s and thought we could escape history now find ourselves at the cross roads of history. At a time when the prevailing media, academic and even now industrial elites find the easy road of paternalistic socialist totalitarianism more expedient to travel we are convinced that only preserving the more traditional America will better provide the well known blessings of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness to us and our posterity.
In the real world, the Republican freedom agenda is the only alternative to the thought police and rations commissar of the socialist nanny state. But the agenda that we share with the founding generation, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, will never again prevail if we don't fight our generation's battle to renew America's commitment to freedom with our socialist adversaries.
Our mission statement is therefore clear: provide the information and argument that leads to a Republican Renaissance and Republican governance.

Anbar worked because my Iraq policy goal of peace by ethnic and religious group separation works.
Anbar explains why so much of Iraq, particularly the Baghdad area, remains a boiling cauldron with Sunnis and Shiites living cheek by jowl. Peace and stability would come quickly following an intense burst of violence as those populations separated following an American withdrawal. Be very much like the India-Pakistan situation when the British left in 1948.

Our behavior brings to mind the plot of the movie "Starship Troopers". Earth is in a fight to death with a planet in a distant galaxy inhabited by giant insect population with no technology save for the ability to send city destroying incendiary spitballs at earth.
The movie suggests had we left them be there'd have been no war. There's an amazing scene in which the troopers come across a Mormom encampment filled with dead missionaries slain by the insects!
What America needs is a restrained foreign policy much like what we had before the Spanish-American War. Next year is the 110th anniversary of that conflict. Cuba is still enslaved and the world still isn't safe for democracy.

With a global oil spot and major producers scattered about the globe desperate for revenue we're not dependent on anyone for oil. Muslim ME oil producers are in a very different political and economic situation than before the Yom Kippur War. Previously they ran large surpluses but now they need to spend every dollar on development to keep their populations in line.
They should be paying us 100% of the cost to maintain a military presence. They need us rather than vice versa.
