The headlines screamed-“Is Clinton Finished”?

Well, is she? Evita dropped the Wisconsin and Hawaii primaries last night. The Clinton campaign has lost more than ten primaries in a row. The Clinton campaign trails nationally. Hillary is clearly facing her last stand at the Alamo (quite literally).

Even more significant is the light weight that beat Hillary. Barack, who seems to be a truly good guy (and that’s important) appears to be little more than an empty suit with a great voice. Barack has no management experience, little governmental experience and virtually no “solutions” to the amorphous problems he describes in every speech.

The media has convinced the public that the last eight years have been akin to the marriage of the Great Depression and WW2. Barack has been uncritically labeled the source of “hope” to escape the dark times. Its absurd and with a normal opponent the Obama effort would have been outed as the “fairy tale” that it is.

The difference is more elementary, Barack isn’t detestable and Hillary is. A very small share of the voting population likes Hillary, and every study confirms. No major politician has ever run for President with 50% of the electorate already hardened against them. Only the pure hubris created by the historic media sycophancy for Brother Bill could have caused anyone to think that Evita had a real chance. However Bill's unique roguish charm was not negotiable or transferrable and the Empress lost her clothes.

Moreover, the Clintons found that an attractive and articulate black candidate, who has been given messianic status by the media, cannot be criticized as say, utterly inexperienced and devoid of public achievement, because he is the most sacred of cows. Every attempt to employ the usual Clinton slime (kindergarten writings, high school drug use, plagarism) backfired because Barack represents “hope” in the most politically correct of ways and is, therefore, above critique.

Good bye Hillary, we knew thee too well.

The Clintons are backed against a wall. Now is the time for Obama to check his brakes and have a food taster.

If he is not careful, he could end up an Arkancide.

Hillary has no exit strategy at this point since it was not in her plan to lose this election. I am sure she will try every trick in the book to include going as negative as possible if she thinks it will help her chances. We shall see but the real question is what happens when she's gone as I doubt she'll walk off into the sunset. My hope is she tears the Democratic Party apart exposing the deep rifts that have always been there.

If this was the Alamo, McCain would be leading the Mexican troops and then give them all amnesty for killing all those racists and bigots.

Didn't Laura Bush kill someone? Must have been those racy photos he took of her......

That's strange, John McCain thinks Hillary would be a good president. From George Steponallofus:

The likely Republican presidential nominee said Clinton "would be a good president in the respect that I think she has integrity, I think she has all of the qualities that are necessary, but she has a very different philosophical view, the liberal Democratic view, than I have, which is conservative Republican."

Depends on your definition of integrity I guess. McQuisling should go back to boning the lobbyists.

Sporer,

Surprised to see you have bought all of Billary's lines about Obama being an empty suit. Actually heard any of his speeches beyond the inspirational highlights they show on news shows? Read his position papers & proposals? His stuff is not significantly different or less shallow than any of the others. Plus, of the remaining three candidates, only one has been managing his campaign well throughout the long ordeal. Not bad for an empty suit. A bit concerned how Billary or McCain would run the country, though.

When I was going through some of the D & R contenders' web sites for a post you were gracious enough to post on this blog way back, I do remember there was one complete empty suit in the race. Guiliani had a list of campaign "themes" on his site, but absolutely no details on anything. Now that was an empty suit.

So, how is this McCain/female lobbyist story gonna play out?

I went to Obama's rally almost a year ago today and found him to be thoughtful and articulate. He answered my question skillfully managing to avoid any substance and still got the standard liberal applause line so even I was amazed.

Truthfully, he dodged my question which simply asked him, what he'd do as President to deal with 25 million fathers who cannot see their children due to toothless visitation laws that require repeated trips to court to establish contempt all that the father's expense.

Obama's long but pointless response simply stated fathers have a role but any problems like that need to be sorted out at the state level. Of course his true liberalism came out a little later when a women asked him what he'd do about women being denied something (I am struggling to remember what it was exactly but it was on the lunatic fringe of liberal) and Obama stated it was a Civil Right's issue and as President he'd make sure his Attorney General took it up yada yada yada. So the contrast was pretty easy to see and Obama's charismatic deceptions will not endure someone like McCain who will catch him on these things during Nationalized TV Debates. I think Reagan's drumming of the Duke will pale in comparison to what McCain will do to Obama.

Reagan's drumming of the Duke? What the hell are you talking about Ken?

Ken R said...

Duke = Dukakis

See 1988 election in which the Dukakis/Bentsen ticket lost the election in an electoral college landslide, carrying only 10 states and the District of Columbia.

Landslide victory for Reagan = drumming of the Duke.

Hey guys - Hawkeye GOP has the story behind the story on the Iverson coup. Looks like you just can't lie any more and get away with it.

Interesting how the timing of the coup coincided perfectly with the Romney team losing their jobs.

Pardon me, Ken, sweetheart. '88 was Bush/Quayle versus Dukakis/Bentsen. God I hate it when people who act as though they are an authority on everything (see Mark Klein) can't get their facts straight. Come on!

Would the last Republican to leave the party please turn off the lights?

Sounds like the same response ANY politician (Republican or Democrat) gives during an election season.

Anon,

I apologize for getting the Duke reference wrong. And, for the record, if you're defending Klein in any way then you're a bigger idiot than he is. As for my mistake, I do make errors and that was a big one as I got the timeline wrong and the first time in a long time I've made such a serious mistake.

The good news is I am in Iraq as part of the War on Terror with so many REPUBLICAN SOLDIERS, SAILORS, MARINES, and AND CONTRACTORS since Democrats don't fight for Freedom these days. I also noticed more White people die by percentage of the population than the rest of our country.

When a mindless (cowardly anonymous) Liberal points out errors it doesn't mean that much it just means liberals still exist which is why we live in an imperfect world.

Defending Klein? Defending Klein? How in the hell anybody would get that I'm defending that piece of human filth is beyond me. Christ Almighty, Ken!

Ken R said...

Anonymous,

Good to know you're not defending him and I just read your previous post and realized you were not calling me a know it but actually Klein. My apologies I just read it wrong and it made a lot more sense the second time around.

Sorry.......My bad.
