SPEAKER PAT MURPHY SHOWS THE WORLD WHAT HATE SPEECH REALLY IS!

Nothing exposes the truly hate filled nature of the repressive politically correct liberal like a challenge.

We all know that Speaker Pat Murphy has consistently demonstrated himself to be a bully, rhetorically and otherwise. Today his rhetoric reached into what is truly hate speech.

Murphy actually said that those who oppose homosexual marriage are the same as the Ku Klux Klan.

So, in the Butcher’s world, one who thinks and argues that an institution that has developed over millennia as the primary social unit of most cultures on Earth should not be altered to suit the financial and sexual needs of a micro-minority is the moral equivalent of the Klansman. The reader may recall, in our
real history, the Klan was the Democrat response to the Republican civil rights agenda for the ante-bellum south. The Klan is, of course, a repulsive terror group that has murdered thousands of American citizens simply for the color of their skin or sound of their last name. Needless to say, can we not all agree that the Klan is now reviled by all decent people even if was once popular among Democrats in the Jim Crow south? (Upon further reflection, perhaps this is a strained premise. After all, the Iowa Senate Democrats gave Senator Jack Hatch a standing ovation in their caucus following his use of the now discarded “N” bomb on the floor of the Iowa Senate.) But we digress.

Such demonization is, of course, the standard liberal response for infidels, like conservatives and Republicans, or heretics, like liberals who swerve from the ultra-reactionary liberal prayer book. Don’t believe me, read some liberal response to
Juan Williams or Camille Paglia. But we digress, again.

Apparently Butcher Murphy saw our post yesterday and said “not just yes, but hell yes, we intend to muzzle opposition by the use of verbal intimidation”. Murphy certainly made it clear that the thought police are next because, of course, KKK like terrorism cannot be tolerated, now can it?

One would think that hate speech is language that describes a person or group as abominable and worthy only of public repudiation and rebuke, like say, yes…wait for it…the Klan? The opponents of homosexual marriage have not expressed a desire to see homosexuals harmed, or even disrupted in their alternate lifestyle, much less subjected to lynching, immolation, tarring (with or without feathering) or other, even more creative, Klan murder specialties. No one has compared homosexuals to child molesters, pornographers or other forms of “alternate” sexual lifestyles because such comparisons are inappropriate and would be be intended to arouse public abhorrence and rebuke of homosexuals personally. Nothing we’ve said here has expressed anything other than disapproval of a homosexual lifestyle, which is only “hatred” in the liberal world where any disagreement with the liberal liturgy is hate speech because it is an article of faith among liberals that only hatred could inform opposition to a liberal concept.

This time, however, the average, everyday person is not going to be intimidated in surrendering their opinions and values to a political correctness that they privately know to be absurd and harmful. To paraphrase Ed Failor’s speech to the college Republicans-we do not want to whisper our history in the dark! Butcher Murphy can chase 800 average, everyday Iowans out of the Capitol but he cannot yet silence their collective voice.

Oh, and Pat our real history also teaches that it was, in fact, the Klan who sought to silence opposition through intimidation, threats and abusive language.

This is the same shitheel that sent in the jack booted storm troopers to remove a few tax protestors.

Murphy should know all about Klan tactics. Typical liberalism, create an anti-concept to make people forget that you ar a complete fucking moron.

If we are now celebrating the fact that gays can marry, are we also going to celebrate the fact that the mentally retarded can become Speaker of the House at both the State and Federal level?

So sensitive, Sporer! So sensitive! It’s “hate speech” now? Standing up for what is right and in line with our constitution is now hate? Can’t take it when people call it like it is? It’s refreshing to see some D’s actually show some balls and conviction. I’m embarrassed of people like Harkin and Culver who throw in politically convenient, cowardly “I’m personally against gay marriage but seems like maybe this is the right thing to do” crap.

“No one has compared homosexuals to child molesters, pornographers or other forms of “alternate” sexual lifestyles because such comparisons are inappropriate and would be intended to arouse public abhorrence and rebuke of homosexuals personally.”

Really now, Sporer! You must be completely running out of ammunition when you start making stuff up. (Kind of reminds me the W administration’s style. Just say things are one way, no matter what the facts are. But I digress.) Your party’s local hero Steve King just expressed these sentiments not many days ago. And don’t pretend like this line of thought is not showing on many conservative blogs and comments. Your own commentary about “what’s next” is one way to make this argument.

Also, could you just give up on the D’s=KKK and R’s=civil rights champion line of thinking. Yes, D’s have some real ugly history that they can’t be very proud of. And R’s have some great history to be proud of. However, you always neglect to mention some details, like the north-south division in the D party. But, most importantly, you are talking about history here. Lots of things have happened in the last 40-50 years. Any student of history and current politics knows where all those southern D’s found a new home. The complete red-blue reversal in our political map happened for a reason.

Of course, to be fair and honest, I do agree with some of your comments about liberal reaction to Juan Williams, Bill Cosby & co. But that’s a discussion for another time.

Sporer,

Sorry, completely off topic. - I’ve been seeing the Kiva Microfinance ad on your blog. Have you checked it out? I think it’s a great way for both us D’s and R’s to help those who are working hard to help themselves. http://www.kiva.org/

let's not forget, the KKK were all white democrats. republicans fought against the KKK. Murphy probably knows all about the KKK. It's part of their very proud history of keeping blacks subservient to the master of the plantation. Murphy is the current master of the Iowa plantation that keeps Iowa blacks subservient.

Jack Hatch said so.

Recovering said...

Sporer - I heard that Murphy said that too and was told by some IFPC folks that they thought it was either published or going to be a published statement (I may have even been the one to tell you about it) but haven't seen it on any news websites or blogs other than yours. I'd love to track down the source that heard him say it or the person he said it to. That person could be the new "Joe The Plumber."

Also, I'm a lender on Kiva. Great organization!

RF said...

"let's not forget, the KKK were all white democrats." - And let's not forget that if any of those KKK white democrats are still alive, they all belong to the Republican party now.

I'm sorry to tell you anon, but a lot has changed in the last 40-50 years. Just ask Lincoln Chafee, Jim Leach & co.

For someone who is so loathed and disgusted by gays, sporer sure does seem to be obsessed with gay sex.

Anonymous said...

rf you made that up. that's just factually incorrect and you know it. comeon.

rf - robert byrd, grand kleagle of the kkk is still a United States Democrat Senator who just a few short years ago on a national news program declared he knew "white niggers".

Not a single democrat or even black person yelped.

Independent - what an oxymoran your handle is...

thanks to the gay porn parade, everyone, even jack hatch and gangstalls 10 year old daughters know all about anal sex. Aren't they teaching that in second grade now?

and I might add, that lincoln chafee and jim leach still think we are in the 70's fighting the viet nam war. they even wear the same ridiculous hairstyles and clothes from that era. Yea, I'd say alot has changed in 40-50 years but the democrat party is still stuck in the psychodelic, anti-american, anti everything 60's.

I love the way liberals ignore Murphy's incendiary statement while finding away to attack Republicans in general and specifically TRS. Pathetic display of partisanship and refusal to acknowledge Murphy's ridiculous statement begging the question of liberals whether they really do view us "white people who happen to be heterosexual, successful, and not socialist" as part of the KKK?

RF said...

Anon, you are right. My statement was factually incorrect. Make it "all minus Robert Byrd". That man's time was up back in the 1950's. You are not getting an argument from me on that one.

Ken - Are your feelings hurt just like Sporer's? I didn't realize you conservative guys were such pussies.

Independent Voter said...

Ken, actually your hero, Ms. Sporer didn't provide any evidence that Murphy actually said it. If Sporer wants to be taken seriously he needs to provide the evidence.

All Sporer writes is "Murphy actually said that those who oppose homosexual marriage are the same as the KKK." Where is the link? What is his (Sporer's) source?

Unlike you, I prefer to check the source myself, and then make a determination.

IF he said that, then I disagree with Murphy as far as the KKK comment. However, it doesn't change the fact that those who do oppose same-sex couples from marrying are bigots.

Anonymous said...

independent. you reveal your age to be about 12. who cares about spelling? Is that all you got? You didn't refute the argument. Typical liberal. Why present an argument when you can use ridicule to get your way...They teach that at KKK school. Sounds like you've been schooled there.

Anonymous said...

where's rf's evidence that the kkk even still exists and if so, they are all republicans? If they exist, they are a terrorist group like code pink, peta and the eco-terrorists that operate in the subterrain of american life. Rf, you are engaging in stereotypng, hate speech and name calling by saying things like republicans are kkker's. I thought you were against that kind of thing.

where's your proof? Independent Voter (haha) requires proof.

Independent Voter said...

Cowardly Anon. First of all, you didn't make an argument. You simply spewed your dribble. You simply stated "thanks to the gay porn parade, everyone, even jack hatch and gangstalls 10 year old daughters know all about anal sex. Aren't they teaching that in second grade now?"

Gay porn parade? Never heard or seen one.

Perhaps your 10 year old daughter knows all about anal sex because of the lack of sex education in schools.

Sex education isn't being taught in grade school. The most they teach in grade school is "good touch, bad touch." Beyond that it is up to YOU to educate your OWN children. It's all part of the failed "abstinence-only" policy.

Independent Voter said...

Anon - as far as the "requiring proof," I was talking about the author of the article as they are talking about an elected official. RF (or whoever it is) has no influence (to my knowledge) over policy issues. Speaker Murphy does. And if Murphy has referred to those who oppose same-sex marriage as being members of the KKK, as I said before, he his is in the wrong. But it is still a bigoted view to deny an entire group of people equal treatment under the law.

As for me, I could care less. I have ALWAYS believed that government should refrain from being involved in the marriage business altogether. Nobody should receive any special treatment. That is why I'm tired of people of YOUR ilk stealing tax dollars from me and MY family. Why should MY family be forced to subsidize yours through higher taxes?

RF said...

Anon - You are absolutely right. I'm not too big on namecalling. But considering the colorful and very inflammatory language Sporer and his buddy Ken use in more or less all their postings, I feel I sometimes need to shoot back in language I suspect they understand a little better. I also find it funny, and extremely weak, how they get all upset when Murphy or other D's use very fitting, but possibly a bit harsh, comparisons to describe the R approach to things. With the KKK comparison (if Murphy actually even used it), if the shoe fits, what you gonna do about it? I doubt I would have used the same comparison, but the macho conservative guys are coming off pretty weak with their whining about it.

RF said...

On the KKK crowd turning into R's. You are right, KKK itself is probably a nonissue these days. A total fringe group. For the most part, I'm talking about the kind of voter who would have been symphatetic to KKK back in the day (possibly kids and grandkids of those KKK nutcases).

You need proof on this, look at the electoral maps from the fifties to today. Read some political history on top of that, and there is all the proof you need. We are talking about social & political science here, so more concrete proof is harder to get. You give me some more valid reasoning for the electoral map switch, and I'm all ears my friend.

With this, I still stand by my suspicion that if there are some of those active KKK people from the 50's still around and they haven't fundamentally changed their thinking, I'm pretty darn sure they are not voting for democrats.

Well, my not too observant friend, they are quite famous in SF and I've seen the pictures so I know they existed in all manner of exhibition. Unfortunately, they perform them on public streets where children witness antics clearly unfit for public consumption.

In addition, your last post about the KKK supporting Republicans ignores the fact the Republican Party has, for our entire existence, lambasted the KKK and campaigned against them in every way. When David Duke ran as a Republican our party spent money to fund the Democratic candidate and assure his loss. What else can we do? Moreover, by the way, we are not the ones using the dreaded "n" word, you guys have that history. Even on this blog, one of your archliberal members was famous for using that word. We justly pointed out racist banter has no place for Republicans.

Apparently, it has a place for Democrats since they can do nothing wrong as long as they support infanticide and welfare.

vlad the impaler said...

Ken,

The Republicans can do no wrong either. Bush got away with all manner of socialist bullshit simply because he had an "R" behind his name.

Ken R said...

I don't think that is accurate Vlad if we consider his low approval ratings. His willingness to spend, spend, spend was historic until, of course, Obama got in office and showed us a new definition of printing money.

The Deplorable Old Bulldog said...

rf, you couldn't have done a better job of establishing the vast hypocricy, contempt and hatred that liberals have for those who disagree if I would have paid you.

Republicans are KKKers? You might not remember David Duke, who won a multi-player primarty in Louisiana as a R and Presidents Reagan and GHW Bush both personally went to Louisiana to campaign against him.

On a larger historic landscape there is no support for that accusation. We have always been the party of equality, something you would discover if you spent more time around Republicans. We don't inquire into our member's sexual practices. We don't have racial quotas. The LSD does.

Liberals support overt racism with affirmative action. Hell the D party organization itself is replete with racial quotas, just like the Jim Crow south. Of course, now liberal guilt thinks we can have "good" discrimination if those setting those quotas mean well.

Then, of course, there is the converse. While liberals routinely call Republicans Nazis, war criminals, racists etc....we are prohibited by the PC police from disagreeing with Democrat policies and votes, or the actual words used by Democrats themselves, because to do so is to attack their patriotism.

Yeah, being compared to a Klansman, a status that Republican Presidents from Grant to Nixon beat down with federal power and Democrat Presidents from Johnson to Johnson either ignored or encouraged because the heart of the post civil war south was the Democrat's political base was there. As the south changed and matured in the 100 plus years after the Civil War the states of the old Confederacy changed their views of racism and embraced the Republican concept of race neutrality they became Republican.

On the other hand, as blacks migrated north and became more common in the north eastern states the liberals became much more willing to use racial quotas and welfare to create a permanent underclass that will always require governmental assistance while simultaneously limited black assimilation that would create real tangible equality as well. But y'all mean well so I guess the real results don't matter.

Whew......that's a lot of typing first thing in the morning.

But well said TRS.
