Aesop, Vilsack and the Ass

A little bout of pneumonia and followed by a crushing work load has kept even The Real Sporer off the internet for a couple of weeks. But I’m back-better than ever baby!

So much about which we need to catch up. The ballsiest move of the week came from Gov. Tom Vilsack. I was at the very excellent Sisters on Target banquet last Saturday night at the downtown Holiday Inn. Vilsack actually said that he was excited about inviting the N.A.A.C.P. to join the investigation of his Administration’s discriminatory hiring practices. Apparently Vilsack knows his constituency because no one asked if it wasn’t he and his department heads, all political appointees, who determine his Administration’s hiring practices? What’s not to know? How’s that commitment to affirmative action and diversity been working the last seven and a half years?

We simple minded Republicans just prefer to judge job applicants by the content of their character and clarity of their qualifications to the divisive racial, ethnic and gender based tests that the Democrats prefer. But then, why be surprised, haven’t the Democrats always been the party of division? The Democrats were the party of slavery and disunion in the Civil War, Jim Crow and his ally the Ku Klux Klan, an entity that remains represented in the Democrat United States Senate delegation even today with among the most venerated of Democrats Robert “Sheets” Byrd, for the next eighty five years and the party that said “Segregation Now, Segregation Tomorrow, Segregation Forever” in my living memory (and I’m not that old). You know, the actual burners of black churches.

Aside from the larger issue of Democrat social policy failing to deliver anything of lasting value to the African American community, a performance like Gov. Vilsack’s Saturday night make it clear that nothing has been so taken for granted as the black vote since Aesop discovered the Ass and his burdens.

Welcome back to the blogosphere Mr. Chairman.

Anon 9:02=liberal douche bag or Republican architecht of failure.

Either way, glad to hear you're alive and back in action.

P.S. I already voted in your poll earlier today.

Good to see you back, Sporer. You make a good point here but I want to take it one step further.

Has it really dawned on anyone what damage affirmative action and quotas have done to the workplace and to race relations in general.

Admit it, if you see a black doctor at Mayo the little voice in your head asks "Quota?" God forbid he should actually be a great doctor, you still have that lingering doubt.

Who is the crazy guy that was hanging out in front of GOPFest? Why isn't he on your poll?

Here's what I don't get. Why do Blacks percieve themselves as having so many different needs than non-blacks. What do they want? Didn't Martin Luther King Jr spell it all out in his Dream Speech? Why don't they return to King's Dream and live it like he says. It's one of the most powerful speeches I've ever read and I tear up when I see what Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Louis Farahkan and other purported "leaders" have done to King's Dream.

Blacks themselves judge people only on the color of their skin and NEVER on the content of their character.

How do explain their hatred for Lt. Gov and Senate Candidate, Michael Steele (they throw oreo cookies), Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas (Uncle Tom), Condoleeza Rice (House Nigga) and other prominent and successful Blacks who have achieved GREAT things based on the content of their character rather than the color of their skin.

Yet, they revere people like Marion Berry, Mayor of DC who was convicted and spent time for crack smoking and other sundry poor character behaviors, and right here locally, Imam AKO Abdul Samaad.

Don't get it.

What truly amazes me is the fact that given the Democratic Party's sordid history of race relations they still managed to successfully pander to the corrupt leaders of Black Americans. There is no rational answer as to why Blacks vote Democrat. They are completely SILENT on any decent act a Republican performs and calypso crazy on any perceived slight whenever their leaders give them the "party line." Democrats that would sell out their own mother for a vote (or just let their staffer drown after drunken sex) cannot get elected without payoffs to Black leaders regardless of the damage done to the country or to the very ethnic population they PRETEND to support.

It has to do with power. Liberals have a vested interest in making black people stupid. Stupid people are easier to control and to herd into polling sites.

The more votes for the RATS, the more power that race hustling poverty pimps like Je$$e "I have a scheme" Jack$on can achieve.
