……………. and the worst of government right here in Hazzard County Iowa, as DM Register columnist David Yepsen so aptly described today’s CIETC development, four indictments and a guilty plea.
I think we all know wherein the local culture of corruption can be found, Democrats, and who are the good guys cleaning up the mess, Republicans. The video itself says it all. Dave and Matt have become Iowa’s own super crime fighting duo, kind of like the Green Hornet and Cato of white collar crime. Wouldn't you like to see what these intrepid avatars of clean government could do about Jack Murtha's appetite for bribes or Nancy Pelosi's appetite for tuna.

On a final note, liberals, let us not forget that Dave Vaudt and Matt Whitaker didn’t rush the investigation or the indictments to take partisan advantage of the scandal. Dave or Matt could have dropped these indictments right before the election to maximize their political impact. This is another stark contrast with the Democrat manipulation and exploitation of Mark Foley’s far less serious misconduct, as just the most recent of Democrats' criminalization of politics. Hmmmmmmm……does the reader see a pattern?
Both Matt and Dave provide a bright light of integrity in government. We Republicans should be more than ready to highlight the crime fighting accomplishments of this dynamic duo!

"Mark Foley's far less serious misconduct"?????
Glad to see you've got your priorities set straight. Wasting taxpayer money is far more serious than some pedophile getting ready to prey on some kids. How soon til your kids are old enough to send off to Congress as pages?
Great job by the Good Guys.Did Foley touch anyone? Garry Studds did
Hmmm..... The Red Side of the Force is an ally of Vaudt and Whittaker.... and a strong Ally it is.....
To Vaudt and Whittaker I applaud.....
Sporer, correct about needing to use the CIETC issue in the last election he was.... Advice fell on deaf and dumb ears, apparent it now is....
WAR Denny Crane (Boston Legal) aka Sporer's alter ego
Let's not forget Tom Harkin's role in getting CIETC money. He even has a room named after him at CIETC. How about that as a poster of corruption for his upcoming campaign?
State 29 has lots of good stuff on it including that priceless picture with Ramona herself.
How about a montage of Harkin with Noriega and other dictator friends of his, with Dean smiling in pride behind him when he uttered the scream, and with Ramona.
Kinda says it all doesn't it?
I find it no coincidence that RPI decided to keep the same people in charge as this is a big money year with the Straw Poll on the way.
I see some things never change which is why I will not be contributing any money to RPI or bigtime candidates. I would rather write checks directly to those in races I care about than turn money over to RPI.
Until RPI becomes a bottom up rather than the current top down organization we are doomed to lose many winnable local elections for lack of support.
