Here’s an easy challenge………………..

………….for the defeatist perspective in Iraq.

Do you agree or disagree with the following proposition:

Failure in Iraq would be a disaster for the United States. The consequences of failure are clear:
Radical Islamic extremists would grow in strength and gain new recruits - (reference bullet point no. 6, and remember you conceded the accuracy of the NIE when you adopted the first sentence from that paragraph with such utter certitude). They would be in a better position to topple moderate governments, create chaos in the region, and use oil revenues to fund their ambitions. Iran would be emboldened in its pursuit of nuclear weapons. Our enemies would have a safe haven from which to plan and launch attacks on the American people. On September the 11th, 2001, we saw what a refuge for extremists on the other side of the world could bring to the streets of our own cities. For the safety of our people, America must succeed in Iraq.

If you agree, then please explain the victory plan you support, if different from W's. If you disagree, specify the alternative scenario you envision and why you envision the alternative scenario.

So, libs, free shot………tell us, for once, what you’d do if the public became sufficiently misquided to make one of you C-in-C, United States Armed Forces?

Defeat in Iraq would be catastrophic and the body toll would be beyond counting if allowed to happend. I am not just talking of dead Iraqis but American civilians with a nuclear armed non state entity sheltered by various terrorist/oil rich states on a mission to bring allah to the West. Allah would come to us in the form of a nuclear tipped sword and IEDs would be on I-80 set by unhappy immigrant Muslim youths believing they were doing God's work. Such acts would not bother these people in the slightest considering they view all of us as infidels bound for Hell anyway. It would be like shooting rats in their eyes.

President Bush has given us a fantastic course correction and his plan can work given our country supports him. We also need help from the Sunnis not wanting to have their world turned upside down watching moderate governments descending into chaos and rebellion. Most Muslims don't want this scenario but they believe there is a world wide conquest at hand and how can they resist it if now is the time? They are watching signs and a defanged West is certainly a big sign for their timeline. Oil prices will shoot to about $200 a barrel and our economy will fall apart while they consolidate their gains.

Like I said, President Bush gave us a workable plan but it will not work because the Democrats are going to torpedo it like an unfaithful spouse while the President tries to keep the house going. It takes two to make this baby work and it pains me to write Bin Laden was right! We are the paper tiger and we don't have the will to endure. We want peace at any cost and there is only one way to achieve it - convert to Islam and submit. If we don't do that we have much bigger wars on the horizon.

Our failure in Iraq means we will have these future wars in our generation and this one will be but a sideshow. They blame us for everything and Democrats falling for that line are the ones claiming leaving will solve the problems. Finish this the right way or pay with your children tomorrow. That is the bottom line!

The Powell Doctrine was right as massive strikes followed by evacuation were the only safe course given the American public's desire to avoid casualties. The Kennedy wing of the Democratic Party will never tolerate any war lasting longer than 6 weeks and Nation Building is impossible without a decade long commitment which we cannot have as long as Democrats have sizeable influence. Rules of Engagement guarantee we do the absolute least to offend or possibly kill the bad guys while giving them multiple ways to kill our people. Regardless of these rules we will be blamed for atrocities without evidence by our own media.

Therefore, we must never attempt Nation Building again and must instead do what we do best - KILL THE ENEMY. Let God sort 'em out and tell those stepping into the power vacuum we will return if they threaten us. That is the only doctrine with any chance of success thanks to our cut and run Democratic Party.

Oh, and our allies in the Arab world are calling our enemies cutting deals as they know we are planning to split and leave them hanging now. So much for America's power - we will run givent the chance! It makes me sick.

How does the Kennedy wing justify still being in Kosovo? Or EVER being in Kosovo? It was a 6 month deal per Billy Boy and now, what, 10 years later we are still there?

Why don't we ever bring that up?

Because Democrats place themselves ahead of the country and Republicans place the country ahead of themselves.

Republicans do the RIGHT thing regardless of the credit and Democrats do the opposite.

Just curious, how many US soldiers have died in Kosovo?

So, 10:18, do we only fight wars against enemies for that we don't even claim pose a threat to us and that we are pretty sure going in won't fight back?

That was the Kosovo war. Or perhaps you could identify the threat, imminent or otherwise, that the Serbs posed to the US.

If you can't answer that question go back to liberal blogs where the bullshit doesn't get called.
