The Official Party of Defeat

In light of this resolution, how can they deny that they are the official party of defeat. The only question is why?

Every time I see Appel's name attached to anything, I think of how the RPI and Mary Lundby are responsible for this woman sitting in the Senate. Shame!

Anonymous said...

So what is their plan?? We will continue to lose wars when we let the politicians run things instead of the generals.

Anonymous said...

Yes, Ray Hoffman and Mary Lundby personally met with Appel and figured out how to put her over the top. It had nothing to do with the fact that Iverson and his buddies wouldn't and couldn't recruit a decent candidate or persuade Senator Shull to stay! I hate when Idiots dominate the blogs.

Interesting.

Apparently the Reservists are not worthy enough to be noted in the bill.

What a joke.

Who wants a president who's name rhymes with Osama? You're so darn eloquent Ted.

Finally, something interesting to read at lunch alongside State 29. These are the only two local political blogs worth reading.

Your republican leadership is too busy trying to get Romney elected. Why would they care about what goes on in Iowa politically?

Anon 1:04.

Jack ass-you missed the point.

Like Ted said on the Cooler, how do you think the name Benito Hisler would have gone over in 1944.

I got the point 2:37. I just thought Sporer was smarter than that. Any high school football player could have come up with that crack. Sporer should act his age and IQ and talk about why Obama isn't qualified. Ted's idiotspeak isn't going to get GOPers elected. Only make them look imature and childish and willing to use terms like Jack ass in their correspondence.

The problem with bill above is there is an error in 1-28. Instead of reading "squandered billions of taxpayers' dollars” it should read "squandered hundreds of billions of taxpayers' dollars ansd thousands of US Soliders and Contractors lives."

"Freedom isn't free, it costs folks like you and me!" -Team America

"In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist."-President Dwight D Eisenhower

Bottom line is that the neo-con's in the Bush administration orchestrated the war in Iraq from the very beginning. It has cost thousands of American lives, and tens of thousands of Iraqi lives. And by the time we get out of Iraq, it will have cost the American Taxpayers over 1 trillion dollars.

I hope the defense contractors enjoy their blood money now, because they sure won't be able to take it with them when their burning in hell.

hey 6:17

I think he's trying to use simple words for the staffers so they can keep up. They aren't used to the full IQ being used. Sometimes it hurts.

What did you do to get republicans elected? Tout the 21st century schools? Ignore CIETC? Run away from the human cloning issue of stem cell research because you completely didn't understand the topic? SHould you have just made a few more phone calls or sent a few more postcards? Perhaps more yard signs would have done the trick.

Or, perhaps you could have engaged the democrats instead of Ted.

What stupid boys you are to continue these silly petty childish arguments. The election is over, you lost and now you want to try to ignore your personal responsibility by attacking people that had nothing to do with your predicted loss.

Grow up stupid boys. It's time to be serious now and engage the party of defeat.

Or, have YOU become the party of defeat?

ANy high school football player? What are you saying? Got issues with jocks? You got teased by them didn't you? My guess is that you are short, have a very small penis, wear glasses, are balding and a bit chubby. You envied the football players didn't you? The only way to feel good about yourself about NOT getting a cheerleader for yourself is to try to diminish them based on their IQ.

Once a dweeb, always a dweeb 6:17. It shows in your low self esteem filled writing.

as easy as it would be to use this for election purposes against the dems, my guess is that our leadership and our delegation will be silent and say nothing. They wouldn't want to make those democrats mad by challenging their motivations. That might be impolite or insensitive causing those south side democrats to really rise up and vote in droves. Then, where would we be? Of course, they are all going to jail now, so Waldo won't have to worry about hurting their feelings.

Gotta read about important stuff here and at state 29. Didn't see anything on Rants website or on krusty - his other website.

Lots of conversation about the cigarette tax though.

Let's use the vote against the Dems. I am sure that the 29% of the people who support the war will rise up and crush them for speaking out against the war.

huh?

"Rob Hubler of Council Bluffs will likely pursue a run for the 2008 Iowa 5th District congressional position. Hubler is touring western Iowa and was in Sioux City this morning to gauge Democratic Party support for taking on three-term U.S. Rep. Steve King, a Republican...."

So King runs against Harkin and loses. Rants runs for Kings seat and becomes our next congressman from the 5th district.

Do you suppose this is all connected? This makes plausible sense now as to why all the Rants and King folks were campaigning for Chuck Launder for Exec Director.

And I thought it was an altruistic move to SAVE the party.

Top Of the Ticket - here we go again. Sorry state legislators. No victories for YOU!

"The Central Iowa Employment and Training Consortium investigation is widening to the county level, as federal investigators have subpoenaed the personnel files of seven former Polk County employees. Six of those named received bonuses while working at CIETC. The Federal Bureau of Investigation and U.S. Department of Labor also questioned four of the five members of the Polk County Board of Supervisors two weeks ago. Polk County gave CIETC $750,000 during a three-year period. A state audit last year showed that nearly $250,000 went to bonuses and salaries, not employment services. Polk County Supervisor Bob Brownell said the county is cooperating fully with the investigation."

Wow Teddy - Thank goodness Republican Matt Whitaker was paying attention to the seriousness of CIETC. Having an issue that will send many democrats to jail or at least political oblivion was a gift from God that all our guys but you, Vaudt and Whitaker ignored.

Whitaker for Gov, Vaudt for Senate, Brownell for Congress!

Of course, they can only win those races if we have a brand spanking new set of staffers with which to work.

What bold leaders we have in the Iowa Senate. Now that the war is supported by only 30% of the people they boldly come forth and pass a resolution against the war.. Wow, what courage. It takes a brave man/women to jump on that bandwagon. :-)
