Rudy vs. the Breck Girl

John Edwards is reading the Real Sporer and he is pissed. The Breck Girl has learned that Damascus Nancy Pelosi won the 2007 Munich Award and his jealousy erupted. Today, Edwards staked his claim as a frontrunner for the 2008 title as "the most significantly useful to the enemy idiot" in the stable…..and Rudy pummeled him for it. Good job for Rudy.

Today, the Breck Girl said that the
War on Terror is merely a bumper sticker slogan designed to scare people into supporting the President. Yes, he really did say those very words. In the world of high level cosmetology and hedge fund gambling apparently having an enemy actually say they are at war and then wage acts of war ranging from seizing our Teheran Embassy in 1979 to flying jets into the World Trade Center, and everything in between during the last 28 years.

Edwards says that the war on terror will, apparently incorrectly, make people in America think that there is a war of civilizations. Uh, Senator, have you listened to the statements of our various enemies? Maybe take a look at history, see how things operated in Afghanistan and Iraq before the US and our allies arrived. Have you seen what those misunderstood victims of George Bush’s aggression in Teheran have been saying is their vision of a just civilization; here’s a clue the first step is to “wipe Israel from the face of the earth”.

How do you square that world view with the job of protecting American from the enemies who say they want to destroy the United States, and have been trying to do so for thirty years?

Rudy again demonstrated an aggressive and apparently quite sincere desire to highlight the distinction between Republicans and Democrats, who have consistently demonstrated themselves so incapable of grasping the concept that nations have enemies, and rich free and somewhat decedent nations have lots of them.

Rudy was the first Republican to recognize that we need to emphasize this vast and dispositive distinction between Republicans and Democrats every chance we get. Rudy
responded immediately. Located the video on a Rudy blog; it is great!

Rudy expressed the simple fact that pretending that enemies are not at war with us doesn’t change the facts of that war. Rudy also stated the all too frequently unstated fact that Edwards willingness to somehow see a world where the United States is not involved in a hot shooting war with Islamofascism-or at least they are with us-arises from a need, I’d call it pathological-to continuously blame George W. Bush for all the evils of the world.

So a Rudy had a good day today. He showed aggressiveness and courage, pounced on an adversary’s weakness and highlighted his own strengths simultaneously. That’s both smart politics and real leadership.

Rudy did make NYC visits fairly uncomfortable for a certain AIDS infected "Palestinian" terrorist.

What Edwards meant: The Emporer has no clothes.

It's an old political fable come back to explain our times.

The GWOT is a charade to help build a more powerful executive, a longtime goal of Cheney and Rumsfeld.

If it weren't a charade, Osama would have been captured by now.

Spotlight,

Have you derived your name from the beacon of George W. Bush's black helicopters chasing you?

Edwards is dead meat. He has no chance at the nomination.

btw, you must know the 1979 embassy seizure was not related to the 2001 WTC attack: different people were involved and the two events were blowback for different foreign policies of the US.

Iranians seized our emabassy because we had supported their tyrannical leader the Shah. Osama attacked us because we quartered our military in his homeland and because we starved 300,000 Iraqi children with the UN sanctions.

Different events entirely---connected only by the arrogant militarism that is US foreign policy.

Rudy should get out more and learn about the govt he wants to lead. He needn't be so surprised next time he hears the truth from Edwards or from Ron Paul.
