Tell us what happened to Krusty? My $$$ is on some angry GOP blogger who didn't like the competition.

Can you ask Deace why he has such a hard-on for John Cox? I think it will bve a disaster is the Iowa Republican Party lets that nut job on the stage at the Straw Poll. Deace should spend less time stroking Cox, and more time promoting candidates like Duncan Hunter, Tom Tancredo, and Mike Huckabee.

My bet is Krusty just burned out. The commentary couldn't get away from staffers attacking each other and their bosses with real personal nasty stuff.

people do not become educated if we do not engage them in civil discourse. there are too many republicans out there that will sit out during this very dangerous time in western civilization. it's too dangerous for america to ignore them.

much of our problem as a party in iowa is only engaging those that already agree with us. that pre-approved list keeps getting smaller each cycle. it got a LOT smaller this last cycle.

Deace is a great outlet for outreach. It's not about Deace as much as it is republicans talking about what it means to be a republican.

or, i guess we can rely on those mailers and phone calls to the perfect republican voter. that's been pretty effective.

Don't you think the anonymous poster at 8:11 proves the point of the anonymous poster at 8:10?

How'd you like that question Teddy?

COPENHAGEN, Denmark (AP) - The Little Mermaid statue in Denmark's capital was found draped in a Muslim dress and head scarf Sunday morning.

The statue sculpted in tribute to author Hans Christian Andersen draws about 1 million visitors a year and is targeted occasionally by vandals.

On Tuesday, the statue's face, left arm and lap were found doused with red paint.

In 2004, someone put a burqa, the head-to-toe Islamic robe, on the statue, along with a sign questioning Turkey's bid to join the European Union.

"Still trying to be like Ted":

Point taken. I didn't mean it as much as an attack as a heads up to TFS to keep the main thing the main thing.

I should have said:

"TFS:

Deace sometimes strays from the topic at hand and\or has some difficulty focusing on what really matters due to a lack of experience in the political arena.

You can use this as a great forum if you maintain control."

My apologies for being flip.

I've always thought of Sporer as something of a rod.

I'll be honest..I don't like John Cox one bit. He's a pompus ass and comes across completely different in person than what he does on Deace's show.

I'll give you a perfect example of this: Last week at the SC Debate, the FairTax folks were holding a rally with over 8000 people in attendance in support of the FairTax.

Cox had the audacity to tell the media that the rally was all his idea and doing and that the people there were in support of HIS issue and thats why he should be allowed in the debate.

What an utter and complete BS lie. Cox had nothing to do with putting together the FairTax rally.

In fact, the FairTax folks had told Cox on numerous occasions that he was not welcome to speak at the rally.

Only after dragging in some poor media sap desperate for a story, was Cox given 2 minutes to speak.

Somehow in Cox's delusional mind, he thinks that even though he's a 3 time elective loser, he believes that he can win the Iowa Caucuses.

Tell Deace about all those great Iowa blogs, like yours (The Real Sporer), Corn Beltway Boys, and of course, The South of Iowa...! :) It's worth a shot, eh?

What do you think of Cox Sporer?

Is he that bad?

In order to hear Sporer, I'd have to listen to that blowhard, Deace. This guy is not realistic. He demands perfection before he's willing to vote. I wonder if he even votes. He's no friend of Republicans.

noneed4thneed said...

Oh man, I listen for just 10 minutes and my list of things that you guys are ignorant about just keeps growing and growing.

The radical rightwing Republicans are the ones that want to take shows off TV.

Democrats aren't happy about people having abortions. That would be like saying Republicans are happy when a bomb is dropped on a school full of poor kids in a foreign country.

Good radio though. When is a Democratic blogger going to be on?

And was Deace Krusty?

democrats aren't happy about people having abortions????

Are you kidding? Did you not see the t shirts they were advocating women wear that said proudly across the chest:

I HAD AN ABORTION

Your political people say that abortions liberate women from the oppression of men. Your fundraising uses that as the hook. have an abortion to take your power from men. ick. ick. ick.

dear gawd! know your own party's platform on tne topic. It's midevil!

and, no, deace was certainly not krusty. he's searching at least.

Noneed.. What shows pray tell would Republicans take off of TV? I have seen no bill in Congress requiring particular shows to be removed off of television.

Oh..wait a second..you must mean I can't see a political commercial now 30 or 60 out from an election thanks to McCain-Feingold.

If Democrats aren't happy about people having abortions..Why fight legislation like the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban?

Why then do Democrats perpuate policies that keep the poor in a vicious cycle of dependency?

Why is it that Democrats are the ones who are predominately opposed to abstinence education being taught in our schools?

Good lord..if Democrats aren't happy about people having abortions..then join with people in DOING something about it.

noneed4thneed said...

"Why then do Democrats perpuate policies that keep the poor in a vicious cycle of dependency?"

Any examples?

"Why is it that Democrats are the ones who are predominately opposed to abstinence education being taught in our schools?"

Because it doesn't work.

Republicans think that if they ban abortions they will just go away.

As I wrote in a post last month..
No one supports abortion, no matter what kind abortion it is. However, instead of outlawing all abortions and forcing women in desperate situations to seek refuge in a back alley, we should be doing all we can possibly imagine to prevent the need for abortions. This includes providing scientifically based sexual education, make contraception more available, helping people out of poverty, and ensuring people receive prenatal care.

You can't be serious here...Do you really want to get schooled here?

Okay..Examples of how Democrats have perpetuated policies that keep the poor in a vicious cycle of dependency...

The most glaring example of this was Clinton's vetoing of welfare reform 3 times before finally signing it. The welfare system in this country was promoting poverty..promoting births of multiple children to people who had no means of supporting them...

Abstinance education--Can you PROVE with scientific data that if a person practices abstinance that they are at the same risk to have teenage pregnancies..contract STD's..

Last time I checked..if a person doesn't have sex..they can't get pregnant..they can't get an STD. What a concept to teach to kids!!

Noneed..you trot out a whole bunch of liberal programs you think will help to prevent abortions.. Oh really? Government has all sorts of social programs that have been established for years..yet..abortions still occur at a frightening rate...Looks like to me that more goverment programs are the exact WRONG thing to do here.

You can teach kids to practice abstinance, but there will be those kids who don't follow it and have sex anyway.

How do you explain why abortions have risen under Bush compared to the years under Clinton?

Cedar Waxwing said...

"You can teach kids to practice abstinance, but there will be those kids who don't follow it and have sex anyway"

That's not the point Noneed...We all want to keep our kids from having underage sex in the first place...

However, we are failing our children if it not taught that there is only ONE proven method there is to not getting pregnant or contracting an STD-abstinance.

If that message is not conveyed to our youth..and we tell them..oh..we know you're gonna do it..so here..use this (condom)..and it will REDUCE your risk..

It's well established that condoms are not 100% and they do not protect against all STD's.

Is that the message we really want to send? We want to make sure you know how protect yourself...but not 100% of time?

Our raison d'ĂȘtre here at TRS

War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.” John Stuart Mill

We at The Real Sporer believe that the crises of our generation is the preservation of a United States of America based on fundamental rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Oddly enough, our generation, that grew in the quiet and secure 50s, 60s and 70s and thought we could escape history now find ourselves at the cross roads of history. At a time when the prevailing media, academic and even now industrial elites find the easy road of paternalistic socialist totalitarianism more expedient to travel we are convinced that only preserving the more traditional America will better provide the well known blessings of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness to us and our posterity.

In the real world, the Republican freedom agenda is the only alternative to the thought police and rations commissar of the socialist nanny state. But the agenda that we share with the founding generation, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, will never again prevail if we don't fight our generation's battle to renew America's commitment to freedom with our socialist adversaries.

Our mission statement is therefore clear: provide the information and argument that leads to a Republican Renaissance and Republican governance.
