Why does David Gregory have a press pass?

The Real Sporer has the President’s news conference on this morning at the office. My ears perked up when David Gregory made a statement disguised as a question.

Can anyone understand why someone who is quite literally merely a Democrat propagandist still gets access to the White House?

Anyone? Anyone?

what was the statement?

How does Helen Thomas get in?

So, is THIS the hedgefund that paid $500,000 to Edwards to have him represent them? How did he get in on this buried treasure? Did he have some inside information? Just exactly was his role in "representing" this hedge fund?

TheStreet.com was questioning Wednesday how much of the $500 million sunken treasure found in the Atlantic last weekend belongs to Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards.

The treasure ship, brimming with gold and silver, was found at the bottom of the Atlantic by exploration company, Florida-based Odyssey Marine Research (OMR).

TheStreet.com has ferreted out that Edwards is the senior advisor and major investor in the major shareholder of OMR, New York-based Fortress Investments, a private equity and hedge fund manager.

Furthermore, according to TheStreet, Edwards' personal financial disclosures show he's an investor in the exclusive Drawbridge Global Macro Fund, which owns the 9.9 percent stake in OMR.

So he made a very risky investment and hit the jackpot? You'd think the capitalists in the Republican Party would laud such an action. Whoops....forgot about the hypocrisy factor.

Its the hypocricy-things like the $400 haircuts, the hedge fund flacking, etc....that make him so-well-target rich of an environment.

Not to mention it's obvious that Mr. Edwards is clueless, tone deaf, fill in the blank. But he's still in the race and Iowans seem to like this guy. I don't get it. Ok, I get it, the hair and all, but D caucus goers will figure this out. Maybe?

I gather that the "statement" was to ask Emporer Bush why anyone would consider him credible in the Iraq debate.

Good question, imho, since the Emporer lied his way into the war, fixing the intelligence around the policy, etc., then dared the insurgents to "bring it on" then said he didn't worry about Osama any more.

But Bush's answer was choice: He said Osama will come for our children if we don't watch out.

That guy is afraid of his own shadow---or he thinks we are afraid of our shadows and Islamoboogeymen.

David Gregory has a press pass for the same reason Helen Thomas has a press pass. The Bush Administration is too spineless to yank them. IIRC, didn't Clinler (Heil Clintler!) yank Matt Drudge's press pass?

republicans do support people making investments and earning their own money - unlike Democrats who want to take the money other people earn and use it for themselves.

However, the hypocrisy factor is Edwards, I'm all about saving the poor.

His willingness to take tax money from schools when he's simply campaigning and running for President is astounding and corrupt.

His "representing" a hedgefund for $500,000 and he ends up with a JACKPOT is more than an interesting coincidence.

It may very likely be very corrupt, but likely, neither David Gregory or Helen Thomas will be interested in reporting on that.

David Gregory and Helen Thomas are also corrupt.

bush did lie himself into a war. he had the same "incorrect" at worst information that Edwards had when he voted to go to war. The incorrect information came from the intelligence services of most western countries, including the clinton era downsized CIA. Edwards believed it too. He stated he would stay with bush through the war - before Soros (the devil) got ahold of him and he got him to be against the war - kind of like Jacques Chirac of France.

I guess that means that Edwards isn't intellectually curious enough to be president. He let that really stupid stupid president bush convince him that the war was necesssary.

Bush is THAT smart. He's so smart, he convinced the entire world that saddam had WMD's and was an imminent threat. Bush did that all by himself and didn't even leave a trace of evidence.

HE did it all with lies and no one could figure out the lies because they were soooooo intelligent in their construction that even David Gregory couldn't figure them out. They still can't find any evidence of lies, but they just knowwww that he lied.

WOW - Bush is the smartest president we ever had and John Edwards is the most clueless person to ever run for president.

oops - that first sentence was supposed to include the world NOT after bush. He did NOT lie himself into a war.

Dear Jacque,

Emporer Bush did not convince the entire world that Iraq was a threat. Only the Coalition of the Willing Sychophants went along for the ride. Most of them have since wised up and gone home.

You're so right. Let's just get a couple rows of life-sized bobble heads to all nod and smile at God...er...Bushs statements.

Coalition of Willing Sycophants includes

UK
Poland
Italy
Spain
Australia
Japan
South Korea
Czech Republic
Slovakia
Romania
Denmark
Norway

....... and the following who publicly stated Saddam had WMD

Russia
France
Germany
PRK
Egypt

...... and now we know that France, Germany and Russia were all receiving billions of illegal dollars through Food for Oil. The old lawyer in me suspects a connection between bribes and policy when you're talking billions.

But's its good to hear the Saddam regime still has supporters in the U.S.

All I can say is Jeff Gannon, the male prositute, call boy, Republican donor, who got a press pass and lobbed soft ball questions.
