So to which gulag do Hillary’s Health Commissars send…………….

………… the anti-social American who cars so little for his fellow citizens that he dares to go without government mandated “insurance”.

The American Evita ‘s position is clear, a
federal mandate that every American must purchase health insurance is the best way to obtain universal health insurance coverage.

Even worse, she also admits that the punitive sanctions to enforce the federal mandate have only not yet been proposed. In Clinton speak that means she will disclose the penalties right after the election.

Evita then goes on to describe exactly one such sanction, a person will have to provide proof of health insurance to apply for a job!

How is that not socialist, paternalist and a huge step down the road toward totalitarianism?

And I'm sure HRC's plan is SO different from the MA/Romney plan... Of course, the funniest thing is that Romney himself attacked the HRC plan. That man is clueless.

so much for the wonderful, great, superior Canadian Govt Health System. why didn't she go to cuba? said...

Liberal MP Belinda Stronach, who is battling breast cancer, travelled to California last June for an operation that was recommended as part of her treatment, says a report.

MacEachern said the decision was made because the U.S. hospital was the best place to have it done.

Let's see mandated health care coverage is a step toward totalitarianism? So then mandated auto insurance must have led us to the totalitarian regime of Bush/ Cheney?

As the only industrialized nation without universal health care and what are we now 46th in the world in health staus despite the "best health care in the world" or should we say the most expensive, maybe we should look at fixing the system instead of patching.
I never understand how getting rid of health coverage is going to help the economy or the country. There is a price tag for health care whether the person is insured or uninsured.

hey I liked Klein's discussions. I didn't agree always with him but it was a definite step up from anonymous who calls everyone a bitch or asshole and feels like such a macho debater while acting like one of Larry Craigs bathroom stall companions.

Teddy:

Insurance ITSELF is socialist.

Insurance is a financing mechanism. It has nothing to do with socialism. Health Care is different than Health Care Financing.

The GOVT paying for a one size fits all forced program, is socialism or, perhaps Tyranny.

if dick cheney is darth vader, what does that make HRC? Her Royal **** ? said...

Quote from the Non-Divisive Puppet of MoveOn.org - Hitlery.

"Vice President [Dick] Cheney came up to see the Republicans yesterday. You can always tell when the Republicans are getting restless, because the Vice President’s motorcade pulls into the Capitol, and Darth Vader emerges," Hillary Clinton said just now (video) at a $100-a-head fundraiser at town hall near New York's Times Square, referring to Cheney's efforts shore up Republican congressional support for the Iraq war. (which he did successfully by the way).

We don't have mandated auto insurance. We have mandated liability.

Let's see:

Everyone pays, some might use a lot of insurance, some might use none. The person who uses more drives up rates for everyone else. Either way, everyone pays.

Insurance has created an artificial market. If you go to a doctor as a patient who is paying out of pocket and you ask that doctor what he charges, his rate will be based on what, say, Allegiant will pay. That is not a market, that is arbitrary and artificial.

Vilsack sucks C**t. He really wants to discuss the marriage of Hillary??? what a stupid dick. said...

Former Iowa Gov. Tom Vilsack went off on Rudy Giuliani's family foibles in a televised interview, saying Giuliani has "lots of issues" voters may not know about - yet.

"I can't even get into the number of marriages, [and] the relationship he has with his children," Vilsack said on New York 1, describing the ex-mayor's past as "interesting."

i did not have sexual relations with that woman, not a single time. said...

How many girlfriends of Bill's did Hillary have to chase off, kill or throw in jail? And, that's just during his tenure as President.

I've always wondered where Mrs. Vilsack picked up that bizarre habit of wearing those hats that don't fit. She always looked odd and out of place in this century.

Does she go to the same clothier that dresses Hillary in man pants?

Two questions:

1. Why is the "leader" of Iran being allowed entry into the United States?

2. Why will he be allowed to leave without a pork blood coated bullet in his head?

I'm extremely dubious any mandatory health insurance program would work short of applying the Gestapo-like methods family courts use against non-custodial parents with child support arrearages.

In medicine and psychiatry for 40+ years I think we're approaching the problem from the wrong end. Were we to restore stable, affordable middle class family life much of the need for very expensive medical would diminish. More stable families would make a big dent in the obesity driven diabetes epidemic, reduce mental health costs, and prevent or ameliorate many chronic diseases where psychosomatic conflicts play a causative or aggravating role.

To do that we need to be governed by real grownups who'd practice fiscal responsibility and follow a much more modest, non-interventive foreign policy.

I'm running for the White House to do just that. Seems to me the only difference between the major parties'favored candidates is which gang of special interests backing them will get to loot the country.

Handed out brochures today at the Polk County Court House. Amazed by the number of ordinary people I spoke with who feel the middle class has vanished so the the Big Money Dogs eat well.

WASHINGTON (AP) - The Senate voted Thursday to condemn an advertisement by the liberal anti-war group MoveOn.org that accused the top military commander in Iraq of betrayal.

The 72-25 vote condemned the full-page ad that appeared in The New York Times last week as Gen. David Petraeus.

Voting against it were Democratic presidential hopefuls Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York and Christopher Dodd of Connecticut.

Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois, another contender for the Democratic nomination, did not vote.

Our raison d'ĂȘtre here at TRS

War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.” John Stuart Mill

We at The Real Sporer believe that the crises of our generation is the preservation of a United States of America based on fundamental rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Oddly enough, our generation, that grew in the quiet and secure 50s, 60s and 70s and thought we could escape history now find ourselves at the cross roads of history. At a time when the prevailing media, academic and even now industrial elites find the easy road of paternalistic socialist totalitarianism more expedient to travel we are convinced that only preserving the more traditional America will better provide the well known blessings of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness to us and our posterity.

In the real world, the Republican freedom agenda is the only alternative to the thought police and rations commissar of the socialist nanny state. But the agenda that we share with the founding generation, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, will never again prevail if we don't fight our generation's battle to renew America's commitment to freedom with our socialist adversaries.

Our mission statement is therefore clear: provide the information and argument that leads to a Republican Renaissance and Republican governance.
