Dan Rather, back (briefly) from the dustbin of history.

In an effort to regain the attention he lost when CBS finally pulled the plug on his four decades of undignified propaganda Dan Rather recently announced that he would have leaked the forged Bush National Guard documents to the NY Times if CBS would not have published the forgeries.

Rather’s seemingly pointless revelation could have no other explanation. If not a pathetic cry for attention from the no longer marginally relevant septuagenarian, the only motive would be to somehow illustrate Rather’s commitment to the forged National Guard documents story.

Such a motivation provides a most timely example of the Democrat echo chamber sometimes ensnaring its occupants. The only people left who don’t think Rather and his Texas cronies (sources of the docs with whom Rather had lengthy relationships) fabricated the forgeries and collaborated with the Kerry campaign regarding their release also think W shot Kennedy from the “grassy knoll” back in high school. The only people who would find Rather’s belief in the story evidences its accuracy already completely believe the story and think Rather and his team of forgers were, in reality, heroic. (Yes, there are none so blind.............).

Perhaps Mr. Rather should contemplate the value of self-respect before he reemerges from retirement.

r u trying to say w DIDN'T kill Kennedy? If he could concoct 9-11 as an inside job, the grassy knoll was kindergarten. No wonder they've never figured it out. It was W. makes total sense to me.
