Iowa Presidential Recap: Mitt hangs tough, Huckabee surge continues, everyone else fighting it out.

Earlier this week, prior to release of the most recent American Research Group (“ARG”) poll TRS did a brief coverage of the anecdotal evidence of the Republican Presidential candidates’ respective standing in Iowa. This opinion was formed after some pretty candid conversations with Iowa Republican leaders from the precinct to the state wide level. It was the TRS perspective that Huck and FDT were surging and Mitt was holding firm at the 25-30 percent range, which probably means first place in the Caucuses.

The Rasmussen Report is among the most reliable of polling providers. A
Rasmussen poll from earlier in the month ( 10/10-10/14) showed Mitt outside the margin of error at 25, FDT at 19, Huck in a statistical near tie at 18, with Rudy at 13 percent of likely caucus goers. John McCain trailed badly at six percent and no one else had more than 3 percent less than eighty days out.

ARG, another very reliable polling service surveyed Iowa last weekend (10/26-10/29) and found similar results for Mitt (27%), Huck (19%), Rudy (16%), McCain (14%), with FDT trailing (8%). No other remaining candidate has more than 2%, now only 65 days from the Caucuses.

Huckabee had a great October in Iowa. The “word on the street” shows a definite trend toward Little Rock in Iowa. TRS and its many Real Correspondents around the state have almost all observed a substantial increase in coversation about The trend line is currently quite positive. However, ARG, Rasmussen and almost every other October poll show Mitt’s lead to both real and resilient. With the imminence of January 3 it looks increasingly like Mitt is going to come in somewhere between 25 and thirty percent.

A review of October also shows that FDT, Rudy and John McCain are fighting over a relatively fluid group of voters on an almost monthly basis. A small shift among the remaining soft commits and openly undecided voters could have an earth shattering impact on January 3. We aren't that far from four finishing with the margin of error of each other.
Whew...........

The potential for fraud is not trivial, as federal privacy laws prevent cross-checking voter registration rolls with immigration records.

Nevertheless, a 1997 Congressional investigation found that "4,023 illegal voters possibly cast ballots in \[a\] disputed House election" in California.

After 9/11, the Justice Department found that eight of the 19 hijackers were registered to vote.

Under pressure from liberal groups, some states have even abandoned the requirement that people check a citizenship box to be put on the voter rolls.

Iowa has told local registrars they should register people even if they leave the citizenship box blank.

"Iowa has told local registrars they should register people even if they leave the citizenship box blank."

Who in Iowa told the registrars to register people to vote even if they do not check the citizenship box?

Who did this for Hillary?

Was this what Vilsnake did for Hillary when he sold his soul to her to get the VP slot or Secretary of Education?

More from John Fund on the Issue of Voter Fraud and Hitlary's influence in creating the perfect fraud storm to benefit her personally.

"Despite her muddled comments this week, there's no doubt where Mrs. Clinton stands on ballot integrity.

She opposes photo ID laws, even though they enjoy over 80% support in the polls.

She has also introduced a bill to force every state to offer no-excuse absentee voting as well as Election Day registration--easy avenues for election chicanery.

The bill requires that every state restore voting rights to all criminals who have completed their prison terms, parole or probation.

Pollster Scott Rasmussen notes that Mrs. Clinton is such a polarizing figure that she attracts between 46% and 49% support no matter which Republican candidate she's pitted against--even libertarian Ron Paul.

She knows she may have trouble winning next year.

Maybe that's why she's thrown herself in with those who will look the other way as a new electoral majority is formed--even if that includes non-citizens, felons and those who suddenly cross a state line on Election Day and decide they want to vote someplace new.

The background here is the National Voter Registration Act, commonly known as "Motor Voter," that President Bill Clinton signed into law in 1993.

It required all states to offer voter registration to anyone getting a driver's license.

One simply fills out a form and checks a box stating he is a citizen; he is then registered and in most states does not have to show any ID to vote.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Employers boosted payrolls by a surprisingly strong 166,000 in October, the most in five months, an encouraging sign that the nation's employment climate is holding up relatively well against the strains of a housing collapse and credit crunch.

The Labor Department's report, released Friday, also showed that the unemployment rate held steady at 4.7 percent for the second month in a row.

It's a figure that is considered low by historical standards.

From Investors Business Daily today. Even Harvard find the media biased against republicans.

"Just like so many reports before it, a joint survey by the Project for Excellence in Journalism and Harvard's Joan Shorenstein Center on the Press, Politics and Public Policy — hardly a bastion of conservative orthodoxy — found that in covering the current presidential race, the media are sympathetic to Democrats and hostile to Republicans.

Democrats are not only favored in the tone of the coverage. They get more coverage period.

This is particularly evident on morning news shows, which "produced almost twice as many stories (51% to 27%) focused on Democratic candidates than on Republicans."

The most flagrant bias, however, was found in newspapers.

In reviewing front-page coverage in 11 newspapers, the study found the tone positive in nearly six times as many stories about Democrats as it was negative.

In stories about Republicans, on the other hand, the tone was positive in only a quarter of the stories; in four in 10 it was negative.

The study also discovered that newspaper stories "tended to be focused more on political matters and less on issues and ideas than the media overall.

In all, 71% of newspaper stories concentrated on the 'game,' compared with 63% overall."

CNN was the most hostile toward Republicans,

The anti-GOP attitude also lives on National Public Radio's "Morning Edition."

There, Democrats were approvingly covered more than a third as often as Republicans.

Negative coverage of Democrats was a negligible 5.9%.

It seemed to be reserved for Republicans, who were subject to one-fifth of the program's disparaging reports.

There is a media bias?

You joking right?

There's a guy on the Des Mo Reg that waxes Klein's ass too, goes by "The Iguana". That's who outted Klein as a liar for holding himself up as leader of Iowa Fathers when in fact they want nothing to do with his dumb ass. Waxed him on a couple other things too, Klein would always bust a hissy in response eventually too. Hilarious.

I'd give Klein credit for schlepping around doing this if any of his shit held water. But it's the same bullshit over and over and over. 52% on Ted's poll, three votes behind Romney, won't take my money, blah, blah, blah, blah.

the Media bias is new news idiots. and this IS palpable change.
