Their promises, your money.

Democrats in Iowa this week continue to promise your tax money to others. In just the last 48 hours Chris Dodd has said that he will spend at least another $48 billion for Veteran’s Benefits. Hey, at least the people getting this benefit actually contributed something to the larger nation for which they should be rewarded. Moreover, Dodd is also talking about a defined group rather than a social entitlement for everyone.

Barack Obama promises far greater federal generosity.
Obama has offered plans to convert the Family Medical Leave Act into a welfare entitlement, with paid leave instead of unpaid leave. Another Obama promise is to enroll workers in a portable IRA type program when the individual worker enters the work force, in addition to Social Security.

However, we know the way this works. Democrats never admit that the money for these entitlements always comes from you, the taxpayers. Who will fund the FMLA payments? You. Who will fund the portable IRA like pension. You again, and you will also be forced to participate in the funding of others.

Listen closely, every Democrat plan the Democrat presidential hopefuls float in Iowa requires the taxpayers to, at best, strain their money through the tightly woven mesh of the IRS before the taxpayer sees dime one from the Democrats-the government keeps about 80% to manage its “programs”, then people get the benefits, if any, from such a program.

If you wonder how this nonsense turns out in the real world, take a look at the liberal petri dish that has become California..

Ted--The only thing liberal about today's California is we don't care what people do on or beneath the sheets with anyone of legal age!

Lived in Berkeley for 25 years. The People's Republic was replaced by the fallout of the very upscale gentrification of that very attractive city. The lefties of Berkeley's yesterday are today's hardcore food foodies preoccupied with getting a table at Alice Waters' Chez Panisse, flipping properties and paying soaring private school tuitions!

Hi Mark, Ken Hoyle, here. Just wondering when you were going to address Saccamano's assertion that you threw a phony threat claim out there just to draw attention to yourself. Said you were going to sic the Secret Service on us, too, as I recall. You can post in here all day but until you clear that one up I don't see a time as to when anyone is going to let up on you. Either admit you made a mistake or have the pair to admit you're a liar.

go huck go! It's not about the money stupid...it's about the character said...

Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, has pulled to within three points of the Democratic frontrunner in a general election match-up.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey shows Senator Hillary Clinton earning 46% of the vote while Huckabee attracts 43%.

Huckabee's not doing well enough to even get a name listing on the Iowa Electronics Market "futures" site. IEM betting today shows the Democrats handily beating any of our well known GOP candidates.

In a society like ours is today beyond all reason to think a sweet natured singing preacher with genuine conservative credentials could win the White House.

What do I mean by a society like ours today? When youngest son now 22 was about 14 or 15, he asked how I'd feel if married outside the faith. Without skipping a beat I replied, "First bring home a girl!"

Interesting Mark, so you're suggesting us non-jews aren't even human beings, huh?

And another thing you fink, Just wondering when you were going to address Saccamano's assertion that you threw a phony threat claim out there just to draw attention to yourself. Ken--Don't Christian parents also wish for their children to marry within their tradition?

My personal wishes nowithstanding I gave my full support and blessings to my oldest son who married a Christian. What swayed me was the young woman was not only a very fine person clearly in love with my son but also came from an intact family. Her parents married immediately after finishing high school. Says a lot when a couple appears to really care for each other 30 years later.

I had more anxiety when my daughter married an ultra orthodox Israeli rabbi of Libyan descent. Sephardi culture and the position of women in family life is quite different than from the Ashkanazi (European) heritage of my forebears. Her marriage thank God proved a blessing as she is the happy mother of three.

The world is very different today. Would have been unthinkable for me to marry outside the faith in part because my children wouldn't be officially Jewish as identity passes through the mother.

All people of faith are having a very hard time keeping things together in today's madly secular America. My policy outlook would strengthen all communities of faith. I'm the only real friend devout Christians have among the candidates. All the "approved" candidates are just pawns for the special interests funding their political careers.

Takes my breath away so many fundamentalist Christians so easly fall for their bullshit. Look at it this way. Devout Christian communities are much weaker since 1980 despite the GOP controlling the White House in all but 8 years until now.

Your community to caucus for me en mass if only to send the message to the GOP you're fed up with business as usual.

Yeah, no shit, Klein, "first bring home a girl"? Fuck you, asshole. All the chicks out there that aren't jewish are what? Fucking animals of some sort? What are you saying asshat? Simply because someone is Jewish they're better than a Mormon, a Catholic, a Methodist, a Baptist? This Country has long since had enough of that kind of bullshit from dried up, brain dead, dinosaurs like yourself. For Christ's sake (appropriately enough)crawl back under your rock asshole.

Iowa Conservatives: Don’t Fall for Rudy

STATEMENT BY STEVE SCHEFFLER:

“We’re not going to beat Hillary Clinton with someone who has a record of agreement with her on abortion, gay marriage, illegal immigration and many other issues important to Iowa conservatives.

Some conservatives seem willing to look past Giuliani’s liberal record because he appears strongest in national polls against Hillary Clinton. The truth is, the national election is still months away. Iowans should nominate a candidate who can draw a contrast with Hillary, not someone who shares her New York values. In fact, recent polls point to Giuliani’s slippage against Hillary Clinton on the national scene and are evidence that the “electability” argument doesn’t hold water.

Social conservatives such as Pat Robertson who back pro-abortion, pro-gay marriage candidates do a disservice to the conservative movement. At the end of the day, we have to stand for something, or our movement has no purpose.”
