Clinton seeds another audience at Des Moines Brown and Black debate

Chase Martyn had a great story over at Iowa Independent last Thursday. Rep. Wayne Ford and Mary Campos, two local pols highly associated with the Clinton Campaign are running this year’s Brown and Black forum, an event that concludes with tonight’s debate.

Like the CNN Democrat debate, the Clinton syndicate has
apparently converted the B&B debate into just another Clinton rally. We’re not going to repeat the entire article, but we will comment on the defense of the event’s integrity.

Once again, the Clinton’s are asking you to believe them and not your lyin’ eyes.

Were Repubs invited to the Heartland forum today? None attended, but it was not described as a Dem-only event to my knowledge.

Mark Klein right now is leading in all the unofficial polls in Iowa. He has Iowa and New Hampshire clearly won. I drove by Frank Stalone's campaign headquarters today as he admitted that there is no fighting the Klein onslaught. Amazing that all these candidates build organizations make phone calls and work hard only to lose to Mark Klein's Caucus machine.

Novak reports Mark Klein is the

"Inevitable Republican Candidate"

as long as every Republican forgets to vote except one delusional doctor who lost it a

LONG TIME AGO!

Otherwise it will be one of the REAL candidates such as Mitt, Mike, Rudy, or even Fred!

It is my understanding that ICA/ITR invited every Democrat candidate to the Presidential forum. Only Biden had the courtesy to even respond.

We must to talking about different events. Who is ICA/ITR?

Biden was not at the Heartland Forum but 5 Dems were there. Why no Repubs?

Dear critics while you writing about me I was was out campaigning today in New Hampshire. Two very busy restaurants allowed me to pass out my brochures and talk with diners. With the other venues I visted today passed out about 300 brochures and held several serious discussions. Often shop owners after chatting, ask or permit me to leave my literture at the cash register.

Always get a laugh replying to comments they hadn't heard of me by saying, "Yes, I am an unknown so I have to campaign the old fashioned way by actually meeting the voters!"

If only this were a race for School Board rather than President of the lone remaing Superpower such tactics might be in order.

I guess if we wanted an oblivious moron running the free world we should vote for the good doctor with a few thousand to burn coupled with an insurmountable ego we should definitely vote for him. However, if our intent is to have somebody remotely connected to reality I have to admit I would much more readily vote for Putin than Dr. Klein since I am sure Putin is not CRAZY!

If it is any consolation I would probably vote for Dr. Klein rather than Chavez but that is not absolutely true either as on any given day both seem nuttier by the minute.

Is the title of the brochure anything like,

"Money to burn no brains necessary?"

Man,

I jump back on to TRS and I guess we're really only assured of three things in this life...

DEATH

TAXES

And Dr. Klein remains on the forum insisting he will be President despite all conventional wisdom and good common sense.

Ken--As a former army officer and now a civilian military contractor sometimes in harm's way, I'm very surprised you of all people should criticize someone taking advantage of the right to run for office. When you took the military oath, isn't that among the things you've risked your life to protect?

What amazes me on this blog is how far removed the Republican Party is from its core stated principles. Brings to mind the elaborate Soviet and Red Chinese constitutions which enshrine lofty ideals none of which were ever put into practic.

Ken, I didn't fall off a turnip truck yesterday. Sure the odds against are daunting but so what? While I doubt I have any chance in Iowa, a strong showing, or a win, in New Hampshire would vault me into the national political spotlight as the "Cinderella" candidate. My candor, ideas, and personality make me more than even bet to beat anyone out, particularly Clinton.

A no brainer the voters would choose an older physician, psychiatrist, father and grandfather over a world class sleeze ball fixer who reminds guys of their difficult ex, or the wife they can't stand now, and women of female in-laws they can't stand.

Don't forget the conventional wisdom was the American Revolution would fail and the Union would lose the Civil War.

Ken, do I need remind you're in permanent exile because the Republican Party is largely responsible for the family court Gestapo tactics against divorced fathers like yourself?

Think you have a bad case of Stockholm Syndrome, pathological identification with your persecutors!

More Klein lies about support from Iowa Fathers. Here's what's cut and pasted directly from the Iowa Fathers web page:

You may have noticed there hasn't been a lot of activity for Dr. Klein since last year. That is because he neglected to run a real campaign and instead spent his time protesting legitimate candidates. Thanks to his latest action I now have to denounce him so we can return ourselves to the legitimate political processes without further damage from our brief association with him.

Dr. Klein is now running radio spots against the Republican Party for excluding him from the Straw Poll.

He does not represent Iowa’s Non-Custodial Parent movement. Yet, we’ve given him precious resources and forums as he was the only candidate speaking about our issue. Obviously, his many shortcomings prevented us from really jumping on board which were greatly magnified by his failure to run a real campaign unless running an Iowa caucus awareness campaign consists of newspaper advertisements in New York City and Washington D.C. (I am still trying to figure that one out). His sinking ship, if indeed his ship ever sailed in the first place, cannot be linked to our legitimate group with a track record of historic successes in the Iowa legislature that is already at risk thanks to the Democratic takeover. Dr. Klein’s “ego trip” would be harmless except we have custody cases in Iowa while he doesn’t. Additionally, Dr. Klein is in error claiming he’s being excluded in favor of big money interests as he has been repeatedly told the selection process begins in July

Disappointed as I am about the above anonymous posting, doesn't change a thing with me. My campaign in New Hampshire addresses the core issues that caused me to run in the first place--(1) Mad borrowing and spending hurling us into bankruptcy (2) America's addiction to chronic, unsuccessful and very expensive wars and (3) the destruction of the middle class.

Some in the fathers movement are Quislings but most are so emotionally damaged they can't mobilize themselves to effective action. Pathetic to see the pointless class actions, the "Million Dad" demonstrations which draw the same 10-50 folks every time, and total failure of many to realize it's time to walk away from hopeless court fights.

Most of the screwball women persecuting these fathers don't even want the children. Their gratification is watching their ex squirm. Best way to get the children is to remove her motivation to torment by moving on. Living well is the best revenge.

I raised 4 children so I know a mother with just one nanogram of common sense knows it's insanity to want to raise them alone. The reality is revenge is often more important to women. Men who fall into that rat trap are doomed to weep and wail! The comedian Sam Levinson said the reason he and wife stayed together 30 years was whoever left had to take the children.

Only now do I understand the forces of history. I have it a lot easier than Moses, Jesus, Luther, etc. If things don't work out in my favor on January 8, 2008 in New Hampshire, I'll just return to my very pleasant life in the Oakland hills.

I'm doing all I can within my means to win the New Hampshire GOP primary outright. If the GOP still is a party of honor and decency, there are more than enough votes here to win handily. But should GOP voters be so bamboozled by hobby horse issues and slick advertising such that I can't make a credible showing I'll leave the party for good.

Mark,

I am not against you exercising your political rights but claiming you could be President 30 days from the Iowa Caucuses is beyond comprehension. Your status in New Hampshire and every other state is exactly the same as Iowa – 0%. I am wondering when you will stop trivializing Ted’s very noteworthy website? I guess you’ll quit when the caucuses are over (even that may not be the case) but in the meantime you will continue to trivialize it driving away logical discussion as well as people who might otherwise participate while it still matters to the nation what Iowa Republicans actually think. In a manner of speaking you are conducting a form of internet terrorism by your continued presence on this website. I cannot understand for the life of me why you continue on your ego fueled crusade against the Republican Party?

#1 - Ted Sporer put your name on his first Presidential Poll as a joke that eternally backfired and

#2 – I told the followers of IowaFathers.com to vote for you on this poll as a way to show our need for a candidate addressing our issues.

The scary part is this was your high-water campaign moment and it was a full year before the Iowa STRAW POLL! If you had a real campaign I am sure you could point to many other events subsequent to a summertime 2006 internet poll as your best accomplishment. Furthermore, you WASTED thousands on the Christian Alliance telling me they were going to delivery the "Christian Vote" for the straw poll. I begged you to use auto dialers and radio ads to build name ID before other candidates flooded the phones and airwaves since you could never compete once the real candidates showed up. My only hope was you would gain enough attention people would notice there is a sizable population of men who miss their children enough to become politically active. It was NEVER about you and once I got to know your remaining issues and realized you were not in touch with reality and I backed away. The fact I was overseas helped you more than you know since if I had been in Iowa I would have immediately backed away.

The issues of non-custodial parents are real and I will always care about them but I cannot support craziness and you are harming this cause by your continued presence. If you cared about the non-custodial father's movement you would not carry on in our name when it only diminishes that name.

Thank you so very much, Ken, for having put this all in perspective. Please continue to respond to Klein in this manner. I think it's absolutely shameful the way he manipulates his so-called "support" from non custodial parents.

Ken and Anonymous, sorry to disappoint you but ten bucks says Mark Klein comes back and tells you how untold tens of thousands have lined up to support him already. Then he'll reference the Grundy snap poll, then there'll be the bit about how in Memphis he really came in Second but had his votes lumped in as "other", then the bit about beating Tancredo, Watts, Giuliani, et. al. He cuts and pastes the same crap over and over and over and over all over the blogosphere. It's like a Kotex jingle or a toilet bowl cleaner ad. You can't help but memorize it when you're bombarded by it all day. "Klein fits, period". Then there's the one where his potential daughter in law isn't even "a girl". Or the bit about in Memphis how all the hot college chicks we throwing themselves at him. Of that, I can only say, (and since he (Klein) likes movie analogies so much) as did Colonel Kurtz in Apocalypse Now, "The horror, the horror......"

The one where you compare Klein's act to a Kotex ad, that's really funny. This Iguana is really funny.
