Breaking News: Iverson Withdraws.

Confirmed only minutes ago, RPI Chairman Stew Iverson has apparently already resigned or otherwise failed to launch his position with the Republican Senate caucus.

Interesting…………….

What would Spock say at a time like this?

How about...."Indeed."

Who cares? Give it a rest Ted...

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...

failure to launch.

so, does that mean he suffered from a premature ejac - err I mean injection into the senate?

just when i was getting all excited about his input, he poofed.

what an anti-climax.

No,

Absolutely not and it had nothing to do with homosexuality.

For clarification, the withdrawal method does not work.

The good Reverand is correct.

So tell us what you heard Auntie Ken. Do tell tales! Otherwise this is just another fantasy world spouting off of bullshit which you are so prone to do.

I decided I did not want to keep this one out there. Anyone really interested can do their own research as I recall it was in the news.

I heard about this yesterday. It looks like Iverson didn't tell his current or future employers about this job with the Senate.

What a guy.

The smear of Iverson continues unabated in the interests of a Polk County power grab. I'll give it to you people you sure do know how to brainwash a lot of people so they can't see that the party's problems result from the former party leadership

Anonymous said...

Power grab?

WTF are you talking about? RPI is hardly fit to be called anything other than a disaster for the last decade.

Anonymous said...

The 8:21 poster better look out or Uncle Teddy will send his black helicopters after you.

I hear he's working on a Polk County Gestapo.

Anonymous said...

Doesn't the moron above know that Iverson is part of that leadership?

Anonymous said...

I wanna know who the person is that is soooo freakin defensive about stu and runs around commenting on all these blogs about how the truth really isn't the truth.

Iverson got caught lying publicly once again. Lying to three different employers all at once -RPI, Ron Weick and his new lobbyist gig. Who on earth would trust anything he said?

Almost sounds like a chick with a crush who is out to defend her fantasy man.

Gee, who could that be, I wonder.

Such a large pool of people to choose from, it would almost impossible to know who that chick is that cares so much about Stu's reputation in light of facts to the contrary.

Let's just give the grassy knoll poster her argument that it's all about a Polk County Power grab.

The reason we do not win is because RPI as a statewide party, and the campaigns avoid blue counties. They give them up without a fight. They don't even try. It's blue, after all, why bother?

Yet, we will never win a statewide race unless we win Polk County.

So, a Polk County Power Grab might just be the difference in our winning and our losing.

Gee, the D's have figured that out. Guess who's winning?

Winning won't come unless we win in our most populous counties.

Polk County jealousy is one of the diseases that has fatally wounded our party.

The poster above exemplifies it.

The seven deadly sins are deadly in politics too.

Stop the jealously over Polk County being the capital. It will always be the capital and it will always be twice the size of Cedar Rapids. Always.

25% of the vote is in Polk County.

Ken R said...

We need Ted to take over RPI show before someone changes it to RIP, which is the direction we are headed without Ted.

0% of polk county votes count in the other 4 districts in district races and below.

Hey Ken, why don't you nominate (once again) your hero Mark Klein, M.D. to take over the party? I mean he's the guy you were ready to throw over Ted for wasn't he? Ted threw Klein off his poll because he knew he was a crack pot, but you Ken , but you Ken, you knew better! Mark Klein, M.D. the the Major Ken endorsed candidate!

FACT: Current voter reg stats for Polk County from the SoS: R's - 75,000; NP's - 75,000; D's - 110,000.

For you math majors, if the GOP had 100% turnout on Election Day, what percentage of turnout would the D's need to match? 68% That's also a FACT.

Politics isn't checkers, it's chess. The margin of victory that Bush got in Sioux County (pop. 36,000) erased his deficit in Polk County in 2004. That's FACT #3.

In the last 3 generals, the GOP has beaten the D's in turnout percentage in Polk County. Oops...there's one more FACT.

Who says the GOP isn't working in Polk County?

FACTS: the kryptonite of ignorance.

Ken R said...

FACT:

The above poster is anonymous.

Ken R said...

Actually,

I misread Anon 10:56:00 AM and reading it, a second time and I agree with the facts. Furthermore, the Polk County effort has been successful despite a lack of anything resembling support from RPI.

Anonymous said...

So when RPI sends mail, raises dollars for candidates, does voter reg drives, absentee ballot programs, organizes phone banks and door knocking...they do that in every county except for Polk.

IS THAT WHAT YOU'RE SAYING KEN? BECAUSE THAT'S INSANITY.

Anonymous said...

And secondly, you can't "agree" with facts.

Anonymous said...

But facts can always be challenged if they're given out of context

Ken R said...

RPI sends out mailers? Gives out money? I doubt it because RPI is broke.

Tell me, what is RPI doing now for anyone at all?

Exactly - ZILCH!

Fact:

Major Ken was one of the first to jump on the Mark Klein, M.D. for President band wagon.

If that doesn't speak to the credibility of his opinions then I don't know what does.

Some of these comments seem to be pointing to me as being an anonymous poster defending Stu.

Sorry to disappoint, but I was no where around these blogs for the past two weeks. Taking a much needed vacation and visiting family. Didn't even find out about the whole thing until THIS evening.

Thanks for the laugh though!
