We haven’t had much of an opportunity to update the Electoral College maps. It certainly appears that the maps are getting redder.
First, the Democrat website we link to left (Electoral-vote.com) shows a very close Electoral College count. EVC uses the most recent poll to evaluate a state. We have been using EVC as a resource since 2004 and it was pretty accurate last time around.
Second, we checked in with Real Clear Politics. Real Clear uses a rolling average to assign Electoral College votes. Using a consistent methodology of excluding anything but mathematical ties from the toss up category the Real Clear rolling map now gives McCain an Electoral College majority for the first time since the primaries ended.
Jolly good we say. Jolly good.
