The first lie-"we know from the NIE that al Qaeda is stronger than at any time since 2001". Not true, no NIE contains those words or that conclusion.
Yes, Barack, that is right. We ultimately can attack threats before they materialize.
that's right John. You go, girl. Attack inside Pakistan, destabilize it and have its nukes handed over to a terrorist group. This first answer is suffers from internal inconsistencies on a major scale.
OMG-Edwards just came out in favor of disarmament. That hasn't been heard for 25 years.
Can hair spray freeze the brain?
Actionable intelligence.
Bill and the "use diplomacy" sounds nice. So what comes after Musharraf?
This is like listening to children discuss foreign policy.
My God, Democrats cannot be entrusted with foreign policy.
Getting out of Iraq is the goal, no matter the consequences.
I don't want to hear about an Iraqi visa being used to get a terrorist into the US or Mexico.
I don't want to hear about the Iraqi banking system funding terrorists.]
I don't want to hear about Iran controllign the Iraqi oil fields and black mailing some weakling Democrat into abandoning Israel, or the Iraqi moderate leadership (who would be exterminated).
I wonder if Edwards considers trial lawyers, the NEA, the trade and labor unions, the environmental groups and limo libs like George Soros are entrenched interests?
You know, Edwards has perhaps lost his mind. Or maybe, in the face of the loss of his life long ambition and his wife, his desperation has displayed just how blindly hate filled he really is and always has been.
Ok, Im not the smartest guy in the world, but isnt it true that every single time we have lowered taxes the govt has taken in more money. Raising taxes on the most productive and richest people of our society has never worked to raise income. That money of the top 1 % goes into the market 401k ect. Why doesnt someone somewhere sometime point out these people ideas of tax policy isnt supported by 50 years of experience.
Wouldnt it be nice if a Dem was asked questions about, if we are now winning the war in iraq, increasing the quality of life for iraqis, and fighting the terrorists over there instead of well on my corner, why would we now leave? Why is leaving Iraq right now, a good idea?
On Iraq, most D and R candidates are actually saying pretty much the same thing: We should leave as soon as possible. The definition of the asap may differ and they disagree about the original decision to go in. But Richardson is the only remaining D candidate who wants an immediate & complete pullout.
Re: Real Sporer's 1st Comment:
This was most recently confirmed by the recent National Intelligence Estimate which concluded,
"the American invasion and occupation of Iraq has helped spawn a new generation of Islamic radicalism and ... the overall terrorist threat has grown since the Sept. 11 attacks."
Dubai is good. Busheney are subject to arrest if they set foot in Vermont.
If the fetus you save is gay, will you still fight for it's rights???
Yes, we would fight for the life. Life is life. That's it. Bottom line. Do you believe in the unborn gay's right to live? Do you believe the 14th amendment applies to ALL humans? Would YOU fight for the rights of the unborn child?
Likely not. If it's inconvenient, just kill it.
rf, since Richardson just dropped out, and since Dennis the Menace doesn't count, Edwards and Obama are cut and run and Hillary is somewhere between cut and run and publish a retreat schedule. Unheard of by any successful combatant in history. As Admiral Ramse, who commanded the British evacuations at Dunkirk, Greece and Crete, or possibly Churchill said, you cannot win a war through successful evacuations.
all of the Rs but Paul, who doesn't count either, are for winning, maintaining Iraq as a basing area, and bringing most of the troops home (or to the various other hot zones like Afghanistan, the Phillipines, Somalia etc...)
however, since we're running out of bad guys to kill in Iraq we are both going to get our way within the next couple of years. the Iraqi people are simply doing what their less than heroic political leadership cannot-rebuilding their country.
Vjj, since you are citing the NIE do you also accept those parts the following:
"The Iraq conflict has become the cause celebre for jihadists, breeding a deep
resentment of US involvement in the Muslim world and cultivating supporters for
the global jihadist movement. Should jihadists leaving Iraq perceive themselves,
and be perceived, to have failed, we judge fewer fighters will be inspired to carry
on the fight."

Could you provide a link to your conclusion?
Imposter Ted, sorry you now know the rule about using my surname. However, I will sportingly republish your comment in its entirety for purposes of response.
Gee Ted and anonymous;
“The dems can't be trusted with foriegn policy? You mean that George and his flying monkeys have been doing so well? I see you are getting either talking points or your drugs from Rush.”
First, another ad hominem, although you and I share “flying monkeys” as a device of rhetorical attack, so you cannot be as supercilious and mean spirited as your posts indicate. Then again, HL Menken really was an asshole so who knows?
Let’s see, no major terror attack in more than six year? Yeah, pretty good. Libya brought to heel, pretty good. If one believes the most recent Iran NIE, the Iranian nuclear program suspended after 20 years back in 03, pretty good. (Maybe diplomacy does work, but I doubt it with these freakin savages) The anti-Iraq (and anti American) governments in France and Germany (you know, the ones that violated UN resolutions and funded Saddam’s terror state) defeated, pretty good. Your response is ...
“Stick to county politics as your dem debate insights are clouded by the knowledge that the GOp is is basically bankrupt in values morals and ideas.”
Tell me your ideas, young man. Tell me specifically the first four things that you would do if elected President. Reasonable specificity, of course. If you cannot think of yourself as President (and, if not, perhaps a sign of mental health), tell which Dem you support and what you think their top 4 policies would be?
“it is time to join cheney in his bunker and pretend that new GOP armies are forming as we speak. catch a plane to Dubai. The common man just may take back America!”
C’mon, you’re on the Repub blogs now, we try to make reasoned arguments supported by facts. Son, always remember that the ad hominem is the first resort of the uninformed mind.
